Episode 11 of Chicago P.D. Season 13 starts with Atwater trying to message Tasha. However, before sending the message, he deletes it. Day after day, he tries to message Tasha but cannot bring himself to do so. Each day is just the same for him. It makes him more and more disappointed with his life.

Watching Atwater in a dilemma about sending the text, Burgess tells him to send the message. Atwater also decides to check the car he has been eyeing every day at the car dealership. The seller tells Atwater that he could take the car for a test drive. He happily accepts. While they are driving the car, the seller tells Atwater about the car and his family.

The seller, hearing that Atwater is a cop and is also an honest officer, decides to give him a discount, making Atwater buy the car right away. While Atwater is doing the paperwork, he hears sounds of shooting outside. He finds that the attackers have killed the seller. As this episode progresses, the investigation starts right away. During the investigation, the team found out more about the offenders. It is revealed that these offenders were taking high-end and vintage vehicles. It is also noted that the offenders do not care about “dropping bodies,” as they have already killed many individuals.

As this episode of Chicago P.D. Season 13 progresses, the identity of one of the offenders whom Atwater killed is revealed to be Alex Roth. They are also able to track the license plate of the car. However, the moment Burgess tries to search for the number on the plate, they are not able to find anything.

They find that the number plate is showing them different numbers from different angles, meaning that they were using triangle plates so that the cops are not able to identify them. Ivani is able to catch the man responsible for the triangle plates. They find the name of the other offender, Lawrence Lolo Vaughn, and begin the search. Though Voight tells the team to find Lolo, Atwater tells him that going undercover would be better for the case, as Lolo does not have any criminal records.

Voight agrees and decides to go undercover for the mission. Atwater’s plan is successful, as he is able to get the trust of Lolo. Using Lolo, Atwater introduces himself to Duke. Though Duke is suspicious of Atwater, Atwater’s sharp intellect in tackling difficult situations helps him get closer to gaining Duke’s trust. While stealing the car to gain more of Duke’s truck, things get complicated; however, Atwater is able to handle the situation once again.

However, Lolo gets tense about being held at gunpoint. He also reveals that he was just the driver for the attacks. Duke then tells them to return to his garage once again the next day for another job. Voight indicates that unless they get a confession from Duke, they do not have a case. Atwater also gets a message from Lolo saying that he will not be a part of the team anymore.

As this episode of Chicago P.D. Season 13 progresses, Atwater reveals his true identity to Lolo so that he can help him bring down Duke. Atwater then gives Lolo a deal to cooperate so that he does not have to testify. At the end of the episode in Chicago P.D. Season 13, Lolo and Atwater visit Duke’s garage.

Lolo tries to trigger Duke, making him reveal his crimes. In the end, Atwater is able to catch Duke, solving the case successfully. Tasha arrives at Duke’s apartment, and they share a heartfelt moment. She also tells him that she is pregnant and that she wants to have the baby.
