Voight followed LaSean's tip and sent a couple of divers into the water in Chicago P.D. Season 14 Episode 3. While the divers initially found nothing, one of them eventually discovered a bag with a human arm, which led to more such bags filled with the human remains of a female victim. As Ruzek and Burgess were sent to get leads, Boyden questioned Voight about the intel, but LaSean remained tight-lipped about his source.

Elsewhere, Voight saw a group of mothers with missing daughters waiting for him at the morgue. Since the team had not found the head, it was difficult to assess the identity of the victim, and their only option was to do a DNA test. Ruzek found footage of a masked individual dropping eight bags into the water, suggesting two bags were still at large.

Chicago P.D. Season 14 Episode 3 took a turn when Ruzek and Voight discovered a bag with the head, which confirmed the victim was Kendra Simmons. After initial questioning of the victim's mother and the detective working on Kendra's missing persons case, the team got a solid lead on B-Rock, who had a reputation for being attracted to teenage girls.

The team placed a tracker inside B-Rock's car, which led them to a warehouse district. Turns out, B-Rock's driver, Tia, had already found the device and ordered Voight and Imani to drop their weapons. Tia demanded $30k in exchange for information about B-Rock and Kendra, which would help her move out of Chicago.

Voight was shocked when Imani revealed that 1505 funds were frozen and could not be used to pay Tia. When Voight confronted Boyden about the frozen funds, Boyden said he couldn't do anything about it, but he could get the money through a private donor. Knowing donor money came with conditions, Voight refused and left Boyden's office.

Voight and Burgess met with Tia to convince her, but she was adamant. Elsewhere, Trudy's investigation suggested Boyden was clean. Left with no choice, Voight returned to Boyden and agreed to take the donor money. It looks like Boyden was onto Voight for looking into his past and asked how he could earn his trust. Voight maintained that his trust is not easily earned.

In the final moments of Chicago P.D. Season 14 Episode 3, Voight and Burgess offered the money to Tia, who revealed how B-Rock confessed to Kendra's murder and cutting her body in the basement. An important clue from their text conversation led the team to the building, where they found Kendra's blood and hair as evidence. The duo tracked B-Rock, but he pulled out a gun. Voight eventually shot him, and B-Rock died on the scene.

As the case concluded, Voight returned to meet LaSean but found him dead in his car, suggesting a larger conspiracy.
