Lee Chae Min and Roh Yoon Seo reunited for My Reason to Die: Here's what the K-drama is all about
My Reason to Die is an upcoming Korean romance fantasy drama based on the hit Naver Webtoon of the same name by creator YUJU. The series is expected to premiere in 2027 and will consist of 12 episodes.
It promises a mix of romance, fantasy, and melodrama as it tells a love story that refuses to end even after one of the lovers dies and comes back to life multiple times. At the heart of the story are Cha Gyeol and Nam Ji-oh, who end up being connected through a mysterious cycle that defies fate.
Unlike typical stories, Lee Chae Min's Gyeol repeatedly returns after dying (almost nine times), reliving different timelines in an effort to protect Ji-oh from tragedy. Every new chance demands another sacrifice in My Reason to Die, which only makes Gyeol's journey painful as he has to go through the burden of memories and loss.
By the time the pair meet for the tenth time, Ji-oh once again finds herself falling in love with Gyeol. This way, their bond deepens, and their love continues.
So far, only a few details have been revealed. While Lee Chae Min and Roh Yoon Seo are the main cast members, the K-drama will also feature other stars for the key supporting cast.
