Crew Girl cast: Meet the actors at the center of Netflix’s latest sports romance

Crew Girl is Netflix's latest Canadian coming-of-age sports teen drama. After the groundbreaking success of Crave's Heated Rivalry and Prime Video's Off Campus, networks are eager to expand their romance libraries with sports-based series and Netflix has brought a new sport into the spotlight: rowing.

Crew Girl follows Teagan Tao (Miku Martineau), a talented female rower who relocates to the East Coast of the United States with her mother and enrolls at Easton Prep School, only to discover that her new school has no girls' rowing team. Left with no choice, she agrees to become the coxswain for the chaotic boys' team, led by their arrogant and entitled captain Josh Regis (Samuel Braun).

Like most sports romances, Netflix's latest series follows a coming-of-age tale as Teagan adapts to her new team and makes new friends along the way.

At the heart of the series is the love triangle between Teagan, Josh and Cam. Here are the actors who brought that to the screen.

Miku Martineau as Teagan Tao

Canadian actress and singer Miku Martineau leads the Crew Girl cast as the talented 16-year-old rower, Teagan. After relocating to Easton Prep with her mother due to her father's alleged financial crimes, Teagan reluctantly agrees to act as coxswain (the person in charge of steering and navigation for their crew) for the dysfunctional boys' team after discovering there's no girls' crew team. The show follows Teagan's journey as she begins a new life and struggles to bond with her new boys' team.

Miku Martineau is best known for playing Ani in the film Kate. She has also appeared in Netflix's psychological thriller series Bet and Star Trek: Section 31.

Samuel Braun as Josh Regis

Meet Josh Regis, the Golden boy and Captain of Easton Prep's boys' crew team. The wealthy legacy student is naturally suspicious of Teagan's arrival on his team and they butt heads at every chance. While Teagan tries to prove her worth as the team's new coxswain, Josh believes that he knows better than her as the team's Captain.

The Canadian actor is best known for playing a young Luke in 2013’s Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. Additionally, the Crew Girl star has appeared in projects such as Voicemails for Isabelle and Superman & Lois.

Kyle Clark as Cam Dillinger

While Josh is entitled and arrogant, Cam is a humble local who is attending Easton Prep on a rowing scholarship. Cam's working-class background immediately separates him from Josh, setting up an exciting love triangle with Teagan in Crew Girl. As Teagan and Cam interact onshore and offshore, their friendship is bound to blossom into something more.

Eagle-eyed fans will remember that the Canadian actor played a young version of Jughead’s father, Forsythe Jones, in The CW's teen series Riverdale. Clark has also appeared in some episodes of The Baby-Sitters Club.
