Criminal Record Season 2 Episode 7 recap: Billy takes on a dangerous mission while June Lenker’s life unravels

Criminal Record Season 2 Episode 7 brings the viewers closer to Cosmo Thompson’s plans and raises the stakes exponentially. This episode not only unfolds to depict the danger that Cosmo Thompson poses but also depicts his sharp intelligence, which has helped him throughout.

Billy’s contribution in Criminal Record Season 2 Episode 7, along with June Lenker’s dedication to solving the case, also leaves a lasting impact.

Billy takes on a dangerous mission while June Lenker’s life unravels in Criminal Record Season 2 Episode 7

Criminal Record Season 2 Episode 7 starts with Billy informing the details of the attack that Cosmo has planned for JP while hiding in the washroom. When JP asks for the details of the attack, Billy informs him that it is going to be a huge one. JP then asks Billy to show the blueprint of the building that Cosmo spoke about during their planning. Before they could discuss further, Cosmo arrives.

Cosmo then speaks to Billy about the incident in the hut, noting that it must have been tough for Billy. On the other hand, June Lenker has taken over the case and listens to the call between Billy and JP. Lenker is informed that she will have to work with Commander Riley on this case until the subjects are detained.

Criminal Record Season 2 Episode 7 continues with June noting that they have limited eyes on The Depot as the CCTV was switched off by Cosmo. She also urges that they will be able to find the location of the explosives. Though June’s seniors are not happy with the lack of information in the case, June urges them to have trust in Billly so that he can do his job and bring forth more information. On the other hand, Daniel Hegarty is also getting information about the case from Kim Cardwell.

Hegarty also has surveillance put up just as June’s team, as he is also observing Billy’s moves in The Depot. Criminal Record Season 2 Episode 7 continues with Billy and Cosmo having a conversation about the growing support that Cosmo is getting. However, Cosmo’s men are eager to know more details of the plan, which he is not unveiling to them.

Things take a turn for Daniel Hegarty when he is informed by Tyler Olise from Internal Affairs to submit all the files related to Billy Fielding. JP’s phone, through which he contacted Billy, was also taken away as he was suspected of knowing that someone was getting hurt at Suffolk Square.

On the other hand, when Cosmo leaves the room, Billy uses the opportunity to hold the blueprint of the building, which he was pointing at, to show it to the investigators. June asks Jen to investigate the details of the blueprint. Jen tells June that it is the blueprint of The Depot, which June did not expect. Soon, June gets a call from Billy. However, Billy is surprised to hear that June has taken over the case, and neither JP nor Daniel Hegarty is there to speak to him.

Criminal Record Season 2 Episode 7 continues June Lenker’s personal life, taking a turn after JP arrives at her house to confront her. Leo hears the conversation and understands that June had an affair with JP. He then leaves the house angrily, bringing forth further complications in June’s life. While Cosmo arrives in the room to speak with Billy, he begins to speak about the boys in the trenches.

He then tries to put his hands on Billy’s; however, Billy gets uncomfortable and evades the situation. Later at night, Billy goes through the content that Cosmo made on him, which makes him understand the danger he poses. The next day, Cosmo gets extremely happy to see that a police officer has been killed. Billy also enters the room and decides to take action so that Cosmo can unveil the details of the plan to him.

He tries to hold Cosmo’s waist in a romantic manner, but Cosmo’s reaction was not something that Billy had expected. Though Cosmo had romantically approached Billy through subtle gestures, this time, he completely ignored Billy. Hegarty, while observing this whole situation through the camera, understands that Cosmo has understood that Billy is working as an informant.

Cosmo then takes Billy to a building and asks Nigel to lead if he does not return. June and her team follow Billy and Cosmo. At the end of Criminal Record Season 2 Episode 7, while Billy and Cosmo arrive at a building, Cosmo asks Billy about him being an informant while they are on the lift. Billy tells the truth; however, Cosmo understood the whole situation and did a livestream to tell his supporters to wreak havoc.

June and his team are able to arrest Cosmo, but as Cosmo was aware of this situation, he was prepared. Watching Cosmo getting arrested, Nigel starts their plan without him and leaves The Depot. Though the police were outside waiting to catch them, they were not able to find them as they took a completely different exit.

Jen, after investigating the blueprint that Billy initially showed them, understands that there was another exit, but by the time the police are able to find the exit, Nigel and his team are long gone and are already on their way to fulfill their dangerous plan.
