Cross Season 2 Episode 4 recap: Alex and Craig follow a new lead while Lincoln follows his heart

Cross Season 2 Episode 4 is replete with multiple intertwining storylines, which will eventually be solved as the series progresses. However, for now, the fourth episode sets the stage with the challenges that are about to come in Alex Cross and Craig’s lives after the incident that happened between the two in the third episode.

In the third episode, after their road trip, they went for drinks, which eventually turned into the two of them hooking up. This turn of events in Alex and Craig’s lives is further explored in the fourth episode of the series.

Alex and Craig follow a new lead while Lincoln follows his heart in Cross Season 2 Episode 4

Episode 4 of Cross Season 2 starts with a meeting where Boyd discusses Larsen’s death. Alex believes that Lincoln killed Larsen as an act of self-defense, which Boyd does not support. Boyd then tells Alex and Craig that Larsen was on their radar, as he was connected to Crestbrook Industries. Alex and Craig are not happy with Boyd’s words.

On the other hand, Lincoln is now at Rebecca’s house. Rebecca and her aunt, Clare, discuss the information Lincoln gathered on Lance Duran and Crestbrook. He had contracts, photos, documents, and even falsified employee logs in the pen drive that he provided Rebecca for her help. The proofs that Lincoln provided proved that Crestbrook knowingly used child labor.

Lincoln also tried to file lawsuits to uncover the truth about them; however, he could not succeed. Rebecca’s aunt is, however, worried that Lincoln was able to find Rebecca. This episode of Cross Season 2 progresses with Cross; one of Lance’s unit gets raided, where they find child laborers.

Lance, after finding the news, begins to worry, as getting bad publicity at this point would create further trouble for him. Cross and his team begin to search for cold cases where they can find links to catch Lincoln once again. Alex comes across a case in Florida, which reminds him of the poker chip of Doubloons Casino, which he found in Lincoln’s lair.

This leads Alex and Craig to go to Florida to check on this lead. On the other hand, Lincoln begins to get closer to Rebecca. Lincoln tells Rebecca that, as the authorities are onto him, he decided to give all the evidence that he has collected to Rebecca so that he can disappear and Rebecca can succeed in her plan. Rebecca tells him that they are going to help him escape so that he can live comfortably.

This episode of Cross Season 2 progresses with Alex bringing in Berto to his house. He takes Berto’s custody. Rebecca and Lincoln’s relationship progresses in a positive direction. Rebecca feels drawn towards Lincoln, especially because of the way he speaks about her. Alex and Craig also visit Florida to follow Lincoln. They reach the casino where Rebecca and Lincoln are present.

However, Donnie informs Rebecca about their arrival. Alex and Craig’s relationship also blossoms as they begin discussing the case. They also discuss about their feelings for each other. At the end of this episode of Cross Season 2, Donnie and Clare tell Rebecca that unless they kill Lincoln, they will not be able to succeed in their journey.

Alex and Craig are almost able to catch Rebecca; however, she is able to escape before they come close. She then visits Lincoln’s room to kill him. Lincoln understands the pain in Rebecca’s eyes and tells Rebecca that he understands that he is a danger to them. He then takes the gun from Rebecca and kills himself so that she does not feel guilty. Cross and Craig finally reach the hotel room and find that Lincoln is already dead.
