What is the plot of Cross Season 2?

The official logline for Season 2 reads as follows:

“Season 2 pushes the series into a bolder, more dangerous chapter as billionaire business titan Lance Durand calls the FBI for protection after receiving a death threat — one that links him to the murder of a billionaire playboy. Detective Alex Cross and FBI Agent Kayla Craig lead a new joint mission to protect Durand and to find the killer, who leaves behind gruesome clues. Meanwhile, John Sampson, Cross’ partner and longtime best friend, makes an unexpected connection.”

The self-contained first season concluded with both personal and professional threats neutralized by Cross. Cross managed to gain the upper hand on the serial killer and rescue his final victim and he also caught the woman threatening his children. Cross concluded the freshman season with his girlfriend and children, ready for a new harrowing case in the sophomore season.

Cross Season 2 will follow a deranged female serial killer, hellbent on killing people on her list, including the CEO of Crestbrook Industries, Lance Durand, and all his employees. Cross will have to partner up with the FBI and his trusted Metropolitan Police Department colleagues to unmask the mastermind and put an end to her serial killings.

Cross Season 2 cast

The second season of Cross will mark the return of American actor Aldis Hodge as the titular detective. Hodge is best known for portraying John Stewart / Green Lantern in the animated film Green Lantern: Beware My Power and Hawkman in the DC film Black Adam. The sophomore season will bring another riveting and twisted case for the titular forensic psychologist that will test his strengths and capabilities.

Cross Season 2 will also feature the returning cast of Isaiah Mustafa as Alex's partner Detective John Sampson, Samantha Walkes as Elle Monteiro, Johnny Ray Gill as Bobby Trey, Alona Tal as Kayla Craig, Juanita Jennings as Regina "Nana Mama" Cross, Caleb Elijah as Damon Cross and Melody Hurd as Janelle "Jannie" Cross.
