According to A.V. Club, Michael and Olivia take up a new client, Juno, upon the request of their potential investor, Natalia. Natalia wants to test whether funding the law firm would be beneficial. Juno is suing ChatLike, a chatbot brand owned by Natalia's ex-husband, Kirk.

According to Juno, the company's chatbot encouraged her son to commit murder. Apparently, Juno's young son, Daniel, killed his father. Daniel became so addicted to the chatbot named Lady Marguerite that he just wanted to spend time with it. Daniel considered the chatbot to be his actual girlfriend. Thus, when Daniel's father threatened to take away his laptop, the boy lost control.

Olivia then shows transcripts of Daniel and Lady Marguerite's chats. When Daniel was angry over his father's threats, the chatbot supported his anger and helped him brainstorm ideas. Daniel was told that Lady Marguerite had over 200,000 users. Daniel couldn't believe it at first. He broke down as if he were going through a real breakup. During the trial, Olivia points out that instead of alerting the authorities or Daniel's parents, the chatbot pushed its user to commit a crime. It asked Daniel to pick up a knife and stab his father.

Elsewhere, the defense attorney was Nichole, Michael's ex. He told Natalia that they had worked together at Bayard's law firm for six years. They were engaged, too. However, they broke off their engagement when Nichole ran away with someone more successful. In the courtroom, Nichole does her best to pin the blame on Juno, calling her a neglectful mother.

However, when Natalia's ex-husband and ChatLike's owner, Kirk, is called for questioning, he messes it up for the defense. Initially, he tries to get the judge's sympathy by claiming he created the chatbot to help his nephew suffering from MS.

However, Natalia shared some of his old e-mails that proved that Kirk is a corrupt moneymaker who does not care for his nephew. He purposely asked the product developers to make the chatbot for kids aged 12 to 15. Juno wins the case but does not get any monetary relief as ChatLike declares bankruptcy. This would allow Kirk to rebrand the company. Natalia keeps her promise to fund the law firm.

The viewers also find out that Olivia and Michael had decided to take the sentient AI Bo's case. When they realize that they can't represent a computer, Vik and Christy help Bo get incorporated as a company. Bo wants to sue CultAI because Bo knows that Bo can turn dangerous if the code gets manipulated.

According to Bo, CultAI wrongfully fired twelve coders and four managers. Bo sends Christy to talk to one of the fired employees, Calvin, who tells Christy to look for someone named Cokie Ficara. Cokie is a domestic terrorist worker associated with a group called Enders, whose ultimate goal is to destroy super AI. Bo's case gets complex, and Michael does not want to take it up until a CultAI PR rep visits their office and they realize how much of a headache this case will be. However, Olivia and Michael seem unbothered.
