Brendan Hunt, who plays Coach Beard and serves as the executive producer on Ted Lasso, has finally revealed what cliffhanging questions need to be addressed if the show gets another season. Hunt told Variety that there aren't really any big cliffhangers, but many questions are still left hanging, mentioning Ted and Beard's new dynamic, Roy and Keeley becoming parents, and Rebecca's marriage, in his statement:

"Ted and Beard as peers instead of hierarchically, I’m curious about that. Roy and Keeley becoming parents, curious about that. Rebecca married, curious about that."

The Ted Lasso Season 4 finale, released on October 7, ended with many characters getting new beginnings. As reported by People, Ted stepped down as head coach, staying on as an assistant under Alice. Roy accepted the head coach job at Chelsea. On the other hand, Rebecca proposed to Matthijs. Meanwhile, Mae left the Crown & Anchor pub to Baz, Jeremy, and Paul.

As of now, Apple has not officially renewed the series for Season 5. However, the EP is already sharing hints about possible storylines in case the show returns for another season.

Speaking of Ted Lasso Season 5 and what cliffhangers the season might address if renewed, Brendan Hunt said that there aren't many major cliffhangers, but he is curious about Ted and Beard working as peers instead of having a hierarchy between them. He added that he is also curious about Roy and Keeley becoming parents and what Rebecca's life will look like now that she is married.

He added that he is also curious about the guys running the pub and how the team will take to Alice as their leader. Hunt explained that these aren't really big cliffhangers but rather storylines that could go in different directions. He added that since there's no word yet on another season, it's still unclear whether the show will get the chance to explore what happens next, in the statement:

"These are all just more like questions than cliffhangers. But also, there’s not yet any indication that we’re going to get to answer those questions. So at the moment, they’re still lingering in the air."

While Hunt doesn't consider these to be traditional cliffhangers, his comments give viewers of the series an idea of the storylines a potential Season 5 could explore.

During an interview with Variety, Hunt was also asked about a potential Season 5 and what Jason Sudeikis wants to do in terms of returning to the show. Answering the question, he said that Sudeikis is keeping his plans close to his chest, and Hunt is not aware of what is happening behind the scenes regarding a possible return. He added that they have always hoped to come back for more than one season. However, he continued by saying that if Season 4 ends up being the final season, he feels the show still had a nice ending, and they will just have to wait and see.

When it comes to the possibility of Ted Lasso Season 5, Hunt hasn't given a clear answer just yet. For now, the questions Hunt mentioned are still open, and it remains to be seen if Ted Lasso gets another season to cover them.
