Daredevil: Born Again Season 2: Everything that points towards key plotlines of this season

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finally has a release date, and the wait is not that long. Moreover, we finally have a teaser trailer for the season, and it provides a glimpse into what we can expect from the upcoming season. As expected, Born Again Season 2 will continue the storyline established in the first season. Thus, Fisk is still the mayor at the beginning of this season.

• Mayor Wilson Fisk

The Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 teaser begins with a propaganda ad approved by the mayor's office. But slowly, reality pours in as we see Matt and Karen share a dance, but soon the former is overwhelmed by something mysterious. It is clear that Fisk is still the mayor of New York, and we see him and Vanessa attending parties.

But the most surprising scene of the teaser involving Wilson Fisk is when the mayor is participating in a boxing match. The context of this boxing match remains mysterious for now.

• Matt trains Karen

It seems Matt and Karen are a couple, as they resist Fisk and his AVTF together. But a significant moment from the teaser is when we see Matt training Karen. This suggests that we will also see Karen being a combatant. She has been in dangerous situations in the past, but she used her gun to protect herself. But Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 might be a turning point for her character.

• Muse (?)

One of the weirdest moments of this teaser is when we see an interruption of a broadcast. In this interruption, we see a human figure in Fisk's mask smile creepily at the camera. Many believe that this is a posthumous video of Muse calling out the Kingpin. It was already confirmed that Muse's storyline from the first season will play a role in the upcoming season as well.

• Jessica Jones

As Matthew Murdock is injured in the church (probably the one where he grew up), Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter, walks in. Ritter's MCU return was confirmed last May at the Disney Upfront presentation. Ritter addressed her return in a ScreenRant interview last July:

"It's really exciting. The fans have been so vocal, and we're back by popular demand, and it's really exciting and probably how these guys feel like putting those boots on again--it was as if no time had passed. A character that you play for so long really gets into the cells of your body, and it's fun to then find ways to go deeper. It's kind of like riding a bicycle, and I'm so excited. I think what we're doing is really cool, and she's an iconic character that I adore and love, and she means so much to me."

• Mr. Charles

The one character that everyone is hyped to meet is Mr. Charles, played by Matthew Lillard. It seems that he will be a thorn in Fisk's side, as Mr. Charles represents people more powerful than Fisk. Brad Winderbaum described Mr. Charles like this to Entertainment Weekly in October:

"The story is about power. When Wilson Fisk takes over New York, not just as a mayor but as a king in a way, it puts him in a new class of power players on the international stage. Matthew Lillard's character represents that. But he's as influential, in many ways, as Fisk is. That power negotiation at a very high level of politics and international diplomacy is also fun to watch. [Fisk] is dealing with Mr. Charles up here and Daredevil [Charlie Cox] down here for different reasons. So he's getting squeezed a little bit."

• Fisk the boxer

We see Fisk in a boxing ring where he is fighting a boxer and winning. Rumors seem to suggest that this boxing event is for charity, but we will probably learn more when Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 begins to stream on Disney+. But we know that this scene takes place inside Fogwell's Gym, as Vincent D'Onofrio teased it last year on Instagram.

• Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye

Introduced as one of the main characters in Daredevil Season 3, Benjamin Poindexter delivered a devastating blow to the good guys in the Born Again Season 1 premiere by killing Foggy. In the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 teaser trailer, we see Benjamin in a cafe, creepily smiling. At one point, we see him bloodied up, and yet he is smiling. Some theories even suggest that Matt will be forced to team up with him this season.
