AMC's hit psychological thriller, Dark Winds Season 4, is finally here. Episode 1, "Baptism by Fire," dropped this Sunday on AMC at 9 PM ET. Fresh episodes are set to release every Sunday on AMC. Season 4 is back with our beloved Navajo Tribal police trio- Bernadette, Joe Leaphorn, and Jim Chee.

This season will be based on Tony Hilerman's book, The Ghostway, and it takes the trio to Los Angeles to solve the mysterious disappearance of a Navajo girl. Zahn McClarnon as Joe Leaphorn

Zahn McCalarnon reprises his role as Joe Leaphorn in Season 4. He's the Navajo Tribal Police's dedicated lieutenant. His personal life goes for a toss by the end of Season 3 as his wife, Emma, decides to leave him. In Episode 1 of Dark Winds Season 4, we see him living a life away from the hustle in Solitaire. Emma abandoning him has impacted his life. He wholeheartedly wants to submit his retirement papers. Turns out he has decided his successor would be, and it's none other than Bernadette Manuelito. In fact, it is upon Joe's request that Bernadette rejoins the force. The Navajo police trio then takes up the case of a missing boarding school girl, and the investigation turns thrilling at every step.

Kiowa Gordon as Jim Chee

Kiowa Gordon plays the dedicated detective turned Sergeant Jim Chee in Dark Winds Season 4. When Bernadette returns to the town, they finally reconnect, and it seems like they are enjoying their time together. He joins Leaphorn and Bernadette to investigate the missing girl's case.

Jessica Matten as Bernadette Manuelito

Jessica Matten plays Sgt. Bernadette Manuelito in Dark Winds Season 4, Episode 1. In Season 3, she left her job at Border Patrol Police. She reconnects with Che,e and they are living the best life together. Bernadette, however, doesn't want to return to force, especially after the bitter experience at the Border Patrol Police. But Leaphorn thinks Bernadette is his best successor. So she requests her to return to the service as he is set to hand in the retirement papers soon. In fact, Bernadette gives a major heads-up in the Navajo missing girl case. She briefly chats with the boarding school girls and gets a crucial clue.

Isabel DeRoy-Olson as Billie

Isabel DeRoy Olson stars as Billie in Dark Winds Season 4. When she goes missing from her boarding school, St.Catherine, they register a complaint. Soon, Leaphorn, Chee, and Bernadette Manuelito begin investigating Billie's missing case and find out it is more dangerous than it seems. Turns out Billie is with a man called Albert, and they barely manage to escape a brutal shootout at a diner. They are clearly on the run, and a woman shooter wants them dead.

Franka Potente as Irene Vaggan

Franka Potente plays the mysterious shooter (Irene Vaggan, as per IMDb) at the diner in Dark Winds Season 4. In the opening sequence of the episode, she arrives with a gun and starts randomly shooting. Her target seems to be a runaway schoolgirl, Billie, and a man named Albert. However, they manage to escape unharmed.
