Dateline: The Night Time Stopped aired on NBC on April 5, 2024. The episode revisited the tragic murder of Anna Moriah Wilson, a 25-year-old professional cyclist, who was shot to death at her friend's home in Austin.

The official synopsis for the episode reads as follows:

After pro cyclist Moriah Wilson is murdered in Austin, investigators unravel a shocking case. The story features newly revealed evidence, dramatic courtroom moments, and the plastic surgeon who treated the fugitive killer.

As revealed in Dateline: The Night Time Stopped, Moriah Wilson was killed by Kaitlin Armstrong, a yoga teacher and a licensed realtor, who was jealous of Wilson's prior romantic involvement with her boyfriend, cyclist Colin Strickland.

In May 2022, Armstrong shot Wilson three times, leaving her critically wounded on the bathroom floor, where she was later found by a friend.

On May 11, 2022, Moriah Wilson was staying at a friend's place while preparing to compete in a race in Hico. Wilson's friend was shocked to discover her lying on the bathroom floor, covered completely in blood. While the 911 operator guided Wilson's friend through CPR, all her efforts were in vain as the cyclist had already passed away.

As shown in Dateline: The Night Time Stopped, Moriah Wilson's autopsy confirmed that her death was a homicide. The victim was killed with three gunshot wounds, two to her head and one to the chest.

As police investigated Wilson's whereabouts on the fateful day, they discovered that she had met with professional cyclist Colin Strickland for dinner and a swim at Deep Eddy Pool. Strickland became a person of interest in Wilson's murder, but was eventually ruled out as a suspect following an investigation.

Things took a turn in Wilson's murder case when the authorities found surveillance footage showing Kaitlin Armstrong's black Jeep Grand Cherokee at the murder scene, shortly before the murder. When Armstrong was taken into custody for an outstanding misdemeanor theft warrant, the authorities discovered her romantic relationship with Strickland.

While Strickland initially denied knowing Wilson, he eventually confessed to his relationship. The cyclist revealed that he concealed his communications with Moriah Wilson from Armstrong and even saved her number under a pseudonym.

As police dug into Armstrong's records, they discovered that she had become aware of the Dateline victim's relationship with his boyfriend and likely killed her in a fit of rage and jealousy. The case took a turn when the authorities discovered a SIG Sauer P365 registered to Armstrong in Strickland's residence.

The spent shell casing from Armstrong's firearm was a near-perfect match to a casing found at the crime scene. In addition, Armstrong had also visited a shooting range with her sister Christine (just days before Moriah Wilson's murder) to learn how to operate a firearm.

As revealed in Dateline: The Night Time Stopped, after a search of about 43 days, during which Armstrong assumed multiple false identities through plastic surgery, she was apprehended in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, on June 29, 2022.

Armstrong pleaded not guilty in her July 21 trial. However, she was found guilty of Moriah Wilson's murder in November, following a trial before Judge Brenda Kennedy and sentenced to 90 years in prison, without the possibility of parole. Wilson's killer is incarcerated at the Dr. Lane Murray Unit.
