Paramount+ has just dropped new images of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2. The images feature several major returning characters from the series, including Dexter Morgan, Harrison Morgan, Harry Morgan, Charley, Blessing Kamara, Detective Claudette Wallace, and Melvin Olivia, along with major character Joey Quinn.

One of the biggest surprises of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 is the focus on Dexter's son, Harrison, played by Jack Alcott. Harrison seems to be walking a path very close to that of his serial-killer father. He is shown wearing a police uniform, which points to his growing connection with law enforcement as he continues his own search for justice.

Another big revelation is the bassist of System of a Down, Shavo Odadjian, who will play a character named R. H. Martin. According to Variety, the musician is confirmed to play in episode 1 alongside Michael C. Hall.

Paramount+ has confirmed that in Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, Harrison will be working alongside a homicide-unit training officer named Fiona Mixon. The character will be played by Nona Parker Johnson.

The image reveals Harrison walking into the precinct carrying a box of donuts. The picture seems like a clear reference to Dexter's old habit of arriving at Miami Metro with treats for his co-workers. For Dexter, the donut routine was a way to keep up a harmless, friendly image while secretly living a very different life.

The new chapter shows Dexter trapped between two killers. The first killer is already infamous, and another one is striking New York in unexpected ways while Dexter struggles with his toughest fight yet, a mid-life crisis. Harrison and his father continue their search for justice together into their darkest chapter.

System of a Down's bassist is joining Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection

In Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, Shavo Odadjian, the bassist of System of a Down, is joining alongside Michael. The image shows Dexter has tied and wrapped him on a pole with plastic sheets.

Shavo's presence brings a raw, unpredictable energy to the series, and the promotional image of Dexter binding him to a pole with plastic sheets is a striking callback to the show's iconic ritual of control and execution.

According to the released images, the new chapter unfolds with Dexter seated beside Charley in a restaurant and looking at each other. Charley is returning in Season 2 after leaving New York in Season 1 ending when she turned Leon Prater. The former Miami Metro homicide lieutenant will be played by the old cast member Desmond Harrington.

The series is also bringing back the fan favorite Joe Quinn. The character was last seen in the Season 1 finale through a key voice-only cameo. Quinn tells Batista that the NYPD reached out after discovering the retired captain living a quiet life in New York. While speaking, he pleads with Batista to come home and reminds him that he doesn't need to shoulder this burden alone.
