Matalas recently sat down for an interview with SFX Magazine in which he addressed if VisionQuest was developed as the closing chapter of the WandaVision Trilogy. Terry Matalas responded, saying that while the series is a sequel, it also stands on its own.The showrunner's exact words were:"No, not really. I would say, if anything, it's definitely more of a sequel to 'WandaVision' in a lot of ways. But it really exists on its own. It's more the Vision story, just because we're going to dig into so much of who he is in ways that the films and 'WandaVision' couldn't, including some deeper parts of his origin that may go back even further than what we believed."Terry Matalas further continued:"So it's very much its own entity, but it does obviously touch upon what has come before for this guy."So, it means that while watching the previous two entries isn't strictly necessary, watching them will enhance your experience of watching the Vision series. Why should you watch WandaVision and Agatha All Along before VisionQuest?Vision and Tommy Maximoff in the Vision series | Image Via: Marvel/www.marvel.comTwo key protagonists of the Vision series have their origin tales in WandaVision and Agatha All Along.
