Molly Parker has shared what viewers can expect from Dr. Amy Larsen in Doc Season 3 in a recent video shared by Etalk. Speaking about Season 3, Parker said the missing years give the story a lot of room for new possibilities while also showing Amy's journey of finding herself, adding:

"Season 3 feels like it's gonna be a lot of those things of coming together to Amy, sort of trying to synthesize all those different parts of herself."

The new season revolves around Amy as she takes on a bigger role at the hospital, but that doesn't mean she has left her own struggles behind. She is now co-chief resident with Sonya and will also be teaching a new group of interns.

Speaking of Doc Season 3, Molly Parker, who plays Dr. Amy Larsen in the series, talked about the show in a video statement uploaded by Etalk, saying that one of the great things about the show is that Amy has lost eight years of her memory, leaving this kind of "blank space" in her life that can be filled with anything. She explained that Amy has missed a whole part of her life, so when it comes to the story, there are a lot of things that can happen.

Parker added that this makes the show fun because Amy's story also:

"Externalizes an interior journey that women go through of defining themselves."

According to her, Doc Season 3 feels like it will bring many of these things together for Amy, as her character will try to understand her past and everything that has happened to her while also trying to "synthesize all those different parts of herself" together.

According to The TV Cave, the season 3 premiere shows Amy finally getting some of her memories back as she remembers more about Sonya and Jake. Amy already has a lot on her plate with the students suddenly having seizures, but that's just one part of what's coming her way. We also get a new twist when Blair Underwood's character joins the hospital.

In Episode 2, released on September 29, Amy starts remembering more about her past with Ben, who is now the Chief of Surgery at Westside. TJ helps Amy and Ben while dealing with a family who comes to the hospital after a car accident. On the other hand, Amy isn't the only one dealing with relationship drama since Jake and his ex-wife, Rachel, are coming closer.

Molly Parker also talked about Blair Underwood, who joins the cast this season as Dr. Ben Grant, saying he is "fantastic." Parker added that they are still learning more about Amy and Grant's relationship, while his character also brings a different kind of energy to the series, calling it "great."

Created by Barbie Kligman (Magnum P.I. & FBI), Doc Season 3 stars Molly Parker, Omar Metwally, Amirah Vann, Jon Ecker, Anya Banerjee, Patrick Walker, and Blair Underwood. The season also features four new faces, including Barrett Carnahan, Raffa Virago, Cecilia Lee, and Kolton Stewart.

Doc Season 3 consists of a total of twenty-two episodes, of which two have already been released. The series is running on a weekly release schedule, with new episodes dropping every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
