At the beginning of Episode 11, Ji-ui tells Ha-ri that his punishment was long overdue after the death of Seonu, his friend. He believes that he was the one who sent him out to sea, because of which everything happened. On the other hand, the village chief gets suspicious of the project supervisor leaking the information about Ji-ui to the office, leading to his suspension.

When asked if he did it, the project supervisor starts arguing and dislocates his jaw once again. However, since Ji-ui was not working in the hospital because of his suspicion, Chiyeon fixes his jaw in the harshest way possible, saying he is bad at it.

Ji-ui's ex-fiancée comes back and learns about Ji-ui's removal. Ha-ri tells her that he will be spending his military service on active duty now. So, who was the one who complained about him? While Ji-ui is packing his stuff, he receives a message from Ha-ri. The two decorate the Christmas tree together, and Ha-ri asks him to promise that he'll always be happy. As they spend their time alone, they see Hwang finding it difficult to see things. Ji-ui immediately checks on her and asks her to go to a doctor. However, she refuses, saying she has three months left before her insurance starts covering the treatment, and she can't risk going bankrupt when she has to think about her son's future.

Later, Ji-ui checked the same patient whom he had previously diagnosed with appendicitis. After not being able to transfer him through other mediums, they decided to transfer him by boat. Just then, Ji-ui's ex-fiancée comes back and asks Ji-ui to step down as a doctor. But Ji-ui still goes with the patient on the boat.

The doctors immediately sent him to surgery. It turns out that he actually had appendicitis, but it went unnoticed last time since it was obscured.

The Doctor on the Edge Episode 11 also reveals Jeong-seon's pregnancy, while Ju-cheon decides to work at his father's hospital. After finding out about the pregnancy, he confronts her, but she tells him not to worry about her and says she's going to do things her own way.

Now that Ji-ui is confident about his diagnosis, he goes directly to the governor's office and tells him that he is not going to accept his decision to remove him. He even shows him the evidence about the poorly done construction on the helipad, which led to the accident. Additionally, he blames the system for the failure.

Viewers also see a heartwarming moment when the village people who previously doubted his skills ask him not to give any explanation about his medications. This shows that they completely trust Ji-ui, and his image has changed over time.

Ji-ui later opens up to his ex-fiancée, telling her that if they had gone to the hospital sooner, Seonu might have received the treatment he needed. However, he says it's time for them to forgive themselves and find happiness.

Things soon take a turn when the governor orders an investigation into the hospital, saying an internal audit found evidence that it received illegal payments from a pharmaceutical company in exchange for pushing their drugs.
