The new medical thriller, Doctor X: Mafia in White, premiered on October 9. The first two episodes give a look at Gye Su-jeong, played by Queen of Tears star Kim Ji-won, and her skills. In the first episode, when the director faints, Su-jeong, also known as Doctor X, successfully keeps everything under control by saving him as well as the patient whose life was on the line. This gets her selected by the hospital.

While I was watching the episode, I also came across the funny moments, like her clocking out at exactly 6 o'clock. Additionally, she observes every quiet detail, which makes her character even more mysterious and attractive.

In Episode 2, she once again saves two patients, showing her skills and even objecting to the directors and doctors. But the ending leaves the doctor worried about the patient she just saved.

Episode 1 begins with the White Wings Medical Corps on fire, showing her holding a child's hand in what seems to be a memory. Later in the episode, a man suddenly experiences severe stomach pain. This is where we meet Su-jeong, a general surgeon also known as Doctor X, who saves him and sends him to the hospital in an ambulance.

She later attends the conference, which was held to review an operation, and even objects to the methods the director recommends for the patient. Instead of firing Su-jeong, they decide to keep her because of her resume, and she gets to assist the others. Later, she also gets in an argument with one of her colleagues and clocks out at exactly 6 o'clock, which might just become her signature move throughout the series.

As the episode continues, I see her joining the director and the others in the operating room, where she observes them performing surgery on the patient. But the surgery goes wrong, and the director suddenly falls. Doctor X not only saves the patient with her skills but also saves the director. However, she eventually gets fired after arguing with the director over his decision to perform open surgery on the patient again after he wakes up.

Episode 1 ends with her being selected once again thanks to her skills as she starts working.

The Doctor X: Mafia in White Episode 2 starts with Gye Su-jeong dreaming of herself holding a child's hand as she promises to bring her brother back and runs inside the burning building. The episode revolves around a VIP person who was also a cancer patient.

When they bring him inside the hospital in the wheelchair, Doctor X pushes him down and instead puts another girl in the wheelchair who was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. This just shows that she doesn't care about VIP patients and just wants to save patients. The VIP patient, Chairman Park, asks them to bring her and apologize for the same, but that never happens. In the conference room, she once again objects to the VIP patient's treatment plan and the procedure they were about to follow.

Later, she gets her own patient to operate on. The two surgeries take place at the same time in separate operating rooms. During the VIP patient's surgery, the doctor freezes after realizing how dangerous his condition is. He then decides to close him up.

Doctor X: Mafia in White premiere recap: Doctor X saves the VIP patient

In episode 2, after seeing the situation, the director decides to call Doctor X to perform on the VIP patient. Even though she gets called out by the intern not to leave the surgery in the middle, she still goes and saves the VIP patient by using a different technique.

On the other hand, she also saved her own patient whom she was first assigned to and clocked out exactly at 6 p.m. Later, the rest of the doctors started to search for the technique she used and came across an article that stated that the patient died two months after the surgery and the cause of the death was unknown.

Additionally, the name of the doctor was never revealed, but the alias on the chart read Doctor X.
