Emily in Paris says “au revoir” as the final season wraps, with Emily’s last romantic chapter still to unfold

Emily in Paris is going to return for its 6th and final season this year and will reveal what lies ahead for Emily, Gabriel, Mindy, and Alfie. We will also get to see a new era of Agence Grateau as Princess Jane (played by Minnie Driver) joins the company as an equity partner.

Netflix has just revealed that filming for Emily in Paris Season 6 has just wrapped.

Emily in Paris wraps filming for final season

While most fans have been shipping Emily (played by Lily Collins) and Gabriel (played by Lucas Bravo) together since the beginning of the show, they are yet to become endgame. Emily and Gabriel shared a will-they-won't-they dynamic until they finally dated in Season 4 and then broke up. In Season 5 we saw Emily date Marcello, but the pair broke up at the end of the season.

As we head to Season 6, Emily in Paris will finally reveal where Emily's career is headed and whom she will end up with romantically. Filming for Season 6 has wrapped up. Netflix announced the news on X with the caption that begins with:

Au revoir.

That translates to until we see each other again. The caption then says:

That's an official wrap on Emily in Paris. The final season premieres December 24!

This is the last time shooting wrapped up for the show as it comes to an end after 6 years. Season 6 will be released on Netflix on December 24, 2026.

In 2020, Emily in Paris began with Emily moving to Paris from Chicago to work as a marketing executive for Savoir. Across the 6 seasons, we have seen Emily work not only in Paris but also in Venice and Rome. Now, for Season 6, she will be travelling to Greece to meet Gabriel, who invited her over at the end of Season 5.

After Gabriel got the news of Emily and Marcello's (played by Eugenio Franceschini) breakup, he sent Emily a postcard asking her to visit Greece before he starts working on Thomas Heatherton’s yacht. We know that Gabriel still has feelings for Emily, as we saw him go to Rome last season to confess his feelings for her. Seeing how happy she was with Marcello, Gabriel decided not to disrupt her relationship and ended up not confessing.

Now that Gabriel and Emily are both single, we might just see them reunite in the last season. Only time will tell.

So far, there is no news of any new cast members joining Emily in Paris Season 6. Besides Collins, Bravo, and Driver, the upcoming season will also star Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau, Ashley Park as Mindy Chen, Lucien Laviscount as Alfie, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Bruno Gouery as Luc, Paul Forman as Nicolas de Leon, William Abadie as Antoine Lambert, and Thalia Besson as Genevieve.
