Hacks, Widow's Bay, Pluribus, and Beef are also some of the shows with the most number of nominations, and thus the competition is quite high in almost all categories. Here are our Emmys 2026 predictions.Emmys 2026 predictions ahead of the 78th Primetime Emmy AwardsThe 78th Primetime Emmy Awards will reward the best performances in television from June 1, 2025, until May 31, 2026, and that is a period that has seen some excellent shows. Viewers have loved the performances in The Pitt, Widow's Bay, Pluribus, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Margo's Got Money Troubles, and Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette, to name a few. But not everyone can win. View this post on Instagram Instagram PostHere's our take on the Emmys 2026 predictions that will break the internet.Outstanding Comedy SeriesPredicted Winner: Widow's BayWidow's Bay has been a breath of fresh air when it comes to comedy. The show is based on the popular trope of a mysterious small town with dark secrets on the verge of revelation. But Widow's Bay has managed to blend comedy with horror in a way that none of it was predictable.Watch out for: HacksHacks, on the other hand, is the comedy series that has received the most nominations this year. While it is nominated for its last season, the show did go out with a bang and touched upon important storylines like the use of AI in art, without losing its humor. So, we can't completely ignore Hacks in the Emmys 2026 predictions.Outstanding Drama SeriesPredicted Winner: The PittThe Pitt won in this category last year when it was their first season. This year, the show has the highest number of nominations among all shows. The way fans have loved Season 2, the way the show hasn't reduced in its quality, and the cast's performances make it a top contender of our Emmys 2026 predictions in this category.Watch out for: PluribusThe show is nominated for its first season, but the storytelling, along with Rhea Seehorn's performance, makes it a top contender.Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy SeriesPredicted Winner: Matthew Rhys (Widow's Bay)One of the reasons Widow's Bay is so successful is because Rhys embodies Tom Loftis in the way he does. Moreover, Rhys already has an Emmy, and there's no reason why he can't win a second one, especially for Widow's Bay.Watch out for: Steve Carell (Rooster)Rooster's Steve Carell might just win if Rhys doesn't. Besides Rhys, the only other performance that has stood out in a lead comedy role is Carell's Greg Russo. Carell gave us a character who successfully goes from being a concerned father feeling out of place at a university, to fitting right in, all while keeping the dark humor alive.
