You can also stream the episode on Paramount+, the day after the episode has been released on CBS.

Now, as mentioned above, there is no new episode that will be dropping next week, which is sad for us fans, to say the least. The reason for this break being the show will be taking a short break because CBS has something else lined up in that slot, related to The Neighborhood, which is airing its finale later this season.

Episode 16 recap and what's next for Episode 17 of FBI Season 8?

Episode 16 of FBI Season 8 was a lot about Maggie as she was trying her very best to deal with the death of her sister, Erin.

Maggie decided she wanted to get back to work, met with Isoble for clearance, and insisted that she was fine (when she obviously was not). Even though Isobel cleared her, she asked OA to keep an eye on Maggie.

The case in Episode 16 also brought in Nikki (a CIA operative), which added a different sort of energy to the investigation. Maggie was also very sharp throughout while she was solving the case. She collected evidence, questioned the witnesses, and helped to track down the suspect in the case.

However, during the interrogation, her mask slips down. Why? Well, because this is where she made use of her own grief to break through to the suspect and get answers out. This is also where she realizes she is still grieving and that being involved with work alone will not help her deal to come to terms with the murder of her sister.

By the end, the case was solved, but Maggie was clearly not okay. She admitted that nothing she usually does to cope is working anymore, and even getting justice did not fix the grief and sadness she feels.

Now, Episode 17, 'Shahadah', shifts back to what the show does best. The official synopsis says"

“First-class agents bring all of their talents, intellect and technical expertise to tenaciously investigate cases of big magnitude, including terrorism, organized crime and counterintelligence, to keep New York and the country safe.”

This clearly points to a big case, likely something that is related to national security. We can expect a really intense operation, but Maggie’s grief might also still be explored.

Even though FBI Season 8 will be going on a short break, Episode 17 will be released on April 13, on CBS at 9 p.m. ET. You can also stream it on Paramount+ the next day.

FBI has also been confirmed for a Season 9.
