FBI Season 9 Episode 2, titled Omissions, aired on CBS on October 12. The latest episode of the police procedural series saw the team take on a twisted case, while Jubal suspected Isobel of hiding something from the team.

According to TV Fanatic, the episode followed the murder of Clint Mathias, an agent working undercover on a DHS task force investigating a white nationalist organization. Since Clint's undercover work was about to come to an end, he took a huge risk by meeting his 12-year-old daughter, Ariel, who lived with her grandmother. Clint gave her daughter a teddy bear and received a bracelet in return. Clint hoped to return to his normal life soon, but he was shot dead near Ariel's school, setting up a twisted murder case for the FBI team.

Here is the recap for FBI Season 9 Episode 2.

Clint's murder case in FBI Season 9 Episode 2 became increasingly twisted as the team investigated multiple suspects who seemed to be connected to the case. Burns, the target in Clint's undercover operation, diverted the team to Hugo Reyna, Clint's former partner. Burns supplied pictures that suggested Reyna and Clint were in a huge fight before the murder.

When Jubal and the team arrived to question Reyna, Lt. Marcus Warren created a major obstacle. He was not ready to believe his team had a dirty cop. Jubal's intervention led the team to investigate Reyna, but he had a solid poker-game alibi. FBI Season 9 Episode 2 took a turn when the team found out the origin of Clint's dispute with Reyna. While investigating heroin supplier Cobi Harkes, Clint suspected that Reyna fabricated the anonymous tip that led to Cobi's wrongful arrest. Cobi became yet another suspect in Clint's murder, but the team cleared him when it was revealed that Clint was about to testify on Cobi's behalf.

An unlikely proof emerges in FBI Season 9 Episode 2

With multiple changing suspects, the team needed solid proof in FBI Season 9 Episode 2, which came in the form of Ariel's teddy bear. It turns out Clint had placed a microSD card inside his daughter's toy before his death, which had pictures of Fernando Balboa buying a burner phone. Since Balboa was part of Latin Kings, rivals of Cobi's gang, it was clear he sent the anonymous tip. Jubal and team even found the murder weapon in Balboa's house, connecting him to the murder.

FBI Season 9 Episode 2 delivered one final twist. Clint's murder was orchestrated by Balboa's lawyer, Tobias Harkes, who happens to be Cobi's brother. Tobias was in cahoots with Balboa, offering peace to the Latin Kings while trying to eliminate his brother for good. While their plan was foolproof, Clint's testimony threatened it. To ensure Cobi remained behind bars, Tobias orchestrated the hit on Clint, and Balboa took the shot, making them responsible for the murder. Jubal and the team closed Clint's murder case, and the culprits were taken into custody.

Episode 2 concluded on an exciting cliffhanger

Unlike the FBI Season 9 premiere, OA's undercover work was sidelined in the second episode. OA came into contact with Isobel when he wanted a special device for an investigation. Isobel promised to arrange the device, but Jubal noticed Ian Liam handing it to Isobel in plain sight, raising suspicion. Given Jubal's connection with Isobel and his impressive skills as a top agent, he knew Isobel was hiding something, directly leading to the shocking cliffhanger.

In the final moments of FBI Season 9 Episode 2, Jubal followed Isobel to her secretive meeting with OA and demanded answers. While Maggie and Isobel were the only agents in on OA's undercover mission, it looks like a third agent is about to join the secret, increasing the stakes.
