First Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 trailer might drop sooner than you think

The production team of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 has been silent for a while, but rumors suggest that it has wrapped up filming. Showrunner Dario Scardapane hinted back in May that the third season is expected to finish production by this month.

If it is indeed true that Born Again Season 3 has finished filming, then it won't be surprising that the upcoming entry will follow the same schedule as Season 2. If that ends up being the case, Marvel may exclusively screen the first Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 trailer in three months.

The Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 trailer might be screened at this year's New York Comic Con:

While the first Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 trailer dropped online for everyone to watch this January, it was first screened at New York Comic Con (NYCC) last October. Therefore, Marvel could take a page from last year and exclusively play the Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 trailer for the NYCC attendees. The event is scheduled to be held between October 08 and 11, 2026.

Therefore, we can expect descriptions for the first season 3 trailer to make rounds online around that time. But it should be noted that we don't know if the third season has wrapped filming. The only sources for this rumor are Scardapane's words to Entertainment Weekly back in May and Royce Johnson's recent social media post from Monday.

In that reel, we see Johnson (Brett Mahoney in the series) celebrating with the cast and crew. Many fans believe that this is the wrap party for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, even though the actor did not confirm that filming is over for the upcoming season.

What do we know about season 3?

The Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale ended with Matt Murdock revealing to the court and the rest of the world that he is the Man Without Fear. He revealed his identity to keep Karen out of prison and shine a light on Mayor Wilson Fisk's arms-smuggling operation. The judges acquit Karen of all the charges, and Fisk is given a deal in which he will not be imprisoned, but he is forced to leave The Big Apple forever.

Matt is arrested for being a vigilante, which the lawyer willingly accepts. The last we see of Matt in the season 2 finale is him in a prison with all the corrupt AVTF officers. Therefore, we will see the Man Without Fear being put to test in season 3 as danger lurks for him in every corner in prison. Meanwhile, the Defenders, except for Matt, reassemble in Born Again Season 3 as Luke Cage, Danny Rand, and Jessica Jones reunite.

Many also believe that Spider-Man: Brand New Day might be setting up the upcoming season of Daredevil: Born Again by having The Hand cameo in the movie. Brand New Day trailers reveal that Peter is fighting the mystical ninja cult in a prison, which is why some think that Charlie Cox is appearing in the movie briefly, setting up his arc for the next season.

Also confirmed for the third season are Elektra, Wilson Fisk, and Heather Glenn, who takes up the mantle of Muse. The season 2 finale also set up Heather's dark turn in the closing montage. Apart from that, we don't know anything else about the upcoming season.
