Florence Pugh has stepped into Netflix's upcoming series, East of Eden as Cathy Ames, and the newly released trailer tells a lot about the character. This project will serve as a seven-episode limited series that comes from Zoe Kazan, who has adapted John Steinbeck’s 1952 novel for Netflix. The story is centered around the Trask family through several generations, from Cyrus and his sons Adam and Charles to Adam’s sons, Cal and Aron.

The events in the East of Eden series will move between different times. The story will begin after the American Civil War and move towards World War I. Along the way, family rivalries, strained relationships, and secrets will take center stage.

Florence Pugh steps into Cathy Ames' complicated world in East of Eden

East of Eden will be Netflix's next limited series, featuring Florence Pugh in the leading role of Cathy Ames. As mentioned earlier, Cathy's presence will become really important in the story when she ends up getting tangled with the Trask family.

Cathy is difficult to read, and that uncertainty is part of what makes her so important to the story. She can leave the people around her unsure of what she really wants. At the same time, she makes decisions that can easily affect relationships within the Trask family.
