The titles of all 8 episodes of Crystal Lake have been revealed. The show premieres on Peacock on October 15, 2026, and the episode titles hint at what's coming.

The show, which is a prequel to Friday the 13th (1980), will follow Pamela Voorhees after her son, Jason Voorhees, seemingly drowned at Camp Crystal Lake. We will see her grief, pain, and the circumstances that drove her to become the killer that she did.

Crystal Lake episode titles and what they could mean

The episode titles of Crystal Lake are short, but they have sinister hints. So far, Peacock has revealed that the show is set in the 1970s, eight years before the events of the original 1980 Friday the 13th film. We will see Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees, a devoted mother, whose son, Jason, seemingly drowns at Camp Crystal Lake.

That leaves Pamela in unimaginable grief. At the same time, bodies begin turning up around the town, and Pamela's hidden, violent history resurfaces when shady strangers arrive at her house. Crystal Lake will also show what exactly happened that led Pamela to become a serial killer. Now, the episode titles have been revealed, and we get a hint of which episode is headed where. The episode titles are as follows:

  1. Camp Crystal
  2. Part II
  3. Part III
  4. A New Beginning
  5. The New Blood
  6. Kill Them, Mommy
  7. Friday…
  8. The Final Chapter

The episode titles were revealed in the form of an image of stacked-up VHS tapes. They are also accompanied by stills from the show, helping us guess what each episode might entail. The first tape, with the first episode's title, Camp Crystal, has the image of Pamela running towards a drowning Jason to save him. Thus, the first episode will most likely deal with Jason's apparent death.

The next tape, with episode 2's title, Part II, has the image of Police Chief Levon Brooks, which hints at his investigation into the murders around town. The next tape, with episode 3's title, Part III, features the image of a bear and a burning store. The bear hints at the bodies the police find that look like they were attacked by man-eating bears. It is not yet clear what store gets set on fire.

The next tape, with episode 4's title, A New Beginning, has an image of a girl we're yet to be introduced to. The tape that features The New Blood has the image of a snake, which hints at impending death or poisoning. While the tape that says Kill Them, Mommy features the image of journalist, Brianna Brooks, the title itself suggests that this is the episode where Pamela will start killing her victims.

Friday features Pamela in a 1950s getup, which could mean she will have a dream or hallucinate she is in a different time. The Final Chapter is self-explanatory, which suggests that the finale episode will reveal the mystery of the town and Pamela's past.

The show is developed and executive produced by Brad Caleb Kane. Kane is also the series' showrunner. Other executive producers of the show are Marc Toberoff, Victor Miller, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, Stuart Manashil, Tyson Bidner, Michael Lennox, and Roy Lee. The production company behind the show is A24.

All episodes of Crystal Lake will be released on Peacock on October 15, 2026.
