Furious cast: The stars powering Hulu’s dark new thriller

Furious is Hulu's latest dark crime drama series loosely inspired by the 1987 film Black Widow. The eight-episode series wrapped its debut season with a high-stakes and shocking finale titled 'Hart Island' on August 31. However, the series has already been renewed for a second season on Hulu.

Furious follows FBI agent Alice Black on the hunt for a mysterious & calculating female serial killer, Catherine Grace. Alice's hunt leads her to team up with the head of the FBI's sex crimes unit as they build a case against billionaire and serial s*xual abuser Jay Easton, which not only intertwines with the search for Catherine but also unravels harrowing truths about Alice's mysterious past.

Hulu’s latest thriller brings together a compelling ensemble cast to anchor its dark, psychologically charged thriller, which explores the blurring of boundaries between justice, morality and revenge.

Emmy Rossum and Lola Petticrew lead the Furious cast

The Furious cast is led by Golden Globe Award-nominated actress & singer Emmy Rossum as Alice Black, an FBI agent and former NYPD homicide detective. Alice begins the series working as a probationary duty agent at the bottom of the FBI ladder but spends much of the season hunting for Catherine Grace.

Emmy Rossum brings calculated charm and wit to the part as an FBI Agent hunting for a serial killer, until the chilling reveal in the Furious Season 1 finale, which unleashed her starkly different side. Rossum is best known for her performances in The Phantom of the Opera and Shameless.

Lola Petticrew is the next main addition to the Furious cast, who plays Catherine Grace, a survivor of s*x trafficking-turned-serial killer. Catherine is positioned in stark contrast to Alice. While both women strive for justice, their methods of delivering it are different, which forms the main conflict in the series. Alice initially believes in the systemic power of justice, but Catherine changes her worldview by serving her own twisted sense of justice.

Irish actress Lola Petticrew is best known for their roles in the FX series Say Nothing and the Channel 4 series Trespasses.

Furious cast: Meet the supporting and guest actors

In addition to Emmy Rossum and Lola Petticrew, the Furious cast includes actress Quincy Tyler Bernstine as Nora Washington, the head of the FBI's sex crimes unit who partners up with Alice to unmask the dangerous serial killer. Bernstine is best known for her roles as Sylvia in Modern Love and Detective Perry in Roy Donovan.

American actor Scoot McNairy, best known for his roles in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and True Detective, takes on the role of Danny Kelly, Alice's friend and her NYPD partner.

Rounding out the cast are actors who appeared in a recurring capacity, namely Jake Lacy as Alice's abusive boyfriend Marshall Connelly, Rob Yang as FBI Agent Frank Choi, Steve Way as a home-healthcare aide's client Alden, Hope Davis as Emma Easton, Peter McRobbie as billionaire & sexual s*x abuser Jay Easton, and Danny McCarthy as ASAC Ed George.

Furious also featured some actors in guest appearances, including Rob Delaney (Deadpool and Wolverine), Chloe Troast (Saturday Night Live), Constance Shulman (Orange Is the New Black), Campbell Scott (The Exorcism of Emily Rose), Marcia DeBonis (Elsbeth), Elise Kibler (Union County), Chloe Carrillo and Riley Vinson (Law & Order).

All eight episodes of the series are now streaming on Hulu.
