Jimmy Kimmel reportedly taunted Donald Trump over his promise made to the Russians, who are currently suffering from a pneumonic plague. On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel presented a video about Trump saying that they were examining the issue very seriously.

In the clip, the president explained that the illness was called pneumonia and added that in earlier times, pneumonia could be treated more easily. Trump even clarified that microbes and germs had become stronger in an uneven way compared to the past and concluded his statement by saying that they would provide as much help as possible.

After watching the footage, Kimmel mocked Trump and said:

"They'll help. No worries, the gang who brought polio back is on the case."

He mockingly assured his viewers that they don't have to worry about the issue because the same group that was responsible for bringing polio back is currently taking charge of the situation.

C-Span reported that Donald Trump gave a statement about Russia's pneumonic plague when a reporter asked him about the possible risk connected to the disease. Trump said,

"Well, we're looking at it very seriously. We just heard about it. And they call it pneumonia. And pneumonia, you know, years ago, you could treat pneumonia easier. The microbes and the germs have gotten stronger disproportionately. But we'll help them. We'll help them as much as we can."

After displaying the clip to the audience, Jimmy sarcastically replied that the gang who brought polio back is on the case. Kimmel's sarcastic comment worked as a double criticism. He mocked the president's understanding of medical issues, and at the same time, he targeted Trump's administration for supporting public health figures who oppose vaccines.

Kimmel also mentioned that Russia had suffered at least one death linked to a suspected case of pneumonic plague, with around 200 people placed under quarantine. The host remarked that the White House officials said that they are monitoring the situation and exploring options to see if there is any way they can profit from it.

The host revealed that the outbreak was reported to have started with a lab leak at the Anti-Plague Institute of Siberia. Kimmel sarcastically remarked that he felt glad the nation has a president who is both a doctor and a Jesus, making fun of Donald Trump's earlier AI-generated religious memes.
