Ghosts Season 5 Episode 14 titled 'The Water Heater' aired on CBS on April 2. The network's spooky sitcom is finally back after its hiatus and the latest episode was as chaotic as ever. A flashback reveals that Issac harbors deep trauma after being overlooked for Class President, a setback that fuels his obsessive behavior in the present. He was determined to woo the basement ghosts and become the second candidate against Flower in the upcoming Ghosts representative elections. However, the broken water heater crisis becomes a major challenge, forcing him to resort to evil tricks to win.

Elsewhere, Sass was feeling insecure about his relationship with Bela in Ghosts Season 5 Episode 14. While Alberta, Pete and the other spirits saw the absurdity of this relationship, Sass was not ready to let go, setting up a chaotic date.

Here is the complete Ghosts Season 5 Episode 14 recap.

The water heater wreaks havoc in Ghosts Season 5 Episode 14

Issac's chance to become the ghost representative was in danger as the Woodstone B&B's water heater was broken. Knowing the basement ghosts' love for the old thing, Issac knew that his chance of wooing the cholera spirits and winning their votes in Ghosts Season 5 Episode 14 was slimming. While Jay and Mark maintained that there was no other alternative than replacing the water heater, Issac asked Sam to delay the task for a day, which would allow him to become a candidate. Sam agrees and Issac lies to the basement ghosts that he has convinced Sam and Jay not to replace their beloved thing. Nancy, Dirk & the others were about to make Issac their candidate when Mark appeared with a new water heater, announcing that he would get the job done today itself.

While Issac is fearful that his jig is up in Ghosts Season 5 Episode 14, the basement spirits assume that Sam has betrayed Issac. In revenge, they plan to give cholera to all their guests. However, Issac comes clean at the last moment and reveals that not Sam but he had betrayed them. While it looked like Isaac had lost his chance to win, his selfless act of planning a funeral for the water heater saved the day. The basement ghosts realize that Issac has a certain power over Sam and he can get her to do anything, which convinces them to make him the second candidate against Flower in the upcoming elections.

A strange double date in Ghosts Season 5 Episode 14

Another subplot in Ghosts Season 5 Episode 14 revolved around Sass and Bela's strange relationship. Sass was offended when he saw Pete & Alberta on a double date with Flower and Thor. When Alberta called Sass and Bela a night couple, who can only see each other during the latter's dream, Sass demanded a double date of his own, with Kyle's help, who was still helping with ghost stuff at the Woodstone B&B.

Pete & Alberta suggested playing dumb charades for their double date with Bela & Sass (and Kyle), which took a disastrous turn as Bela could not see either of them. While Sass asked Kyle to mimic his actions for Bela, their date was a failure. Later, Pete and Alberta finally confessed the hard truth to Sass, advising him to break things off with Bela before it's too late. In the final moments of Ghosts Season 5 Episode 14, Sass and Bela meet in the latter's dream in Paris and part ways on good terms, realizing that a ghost and a living cannot enter into a relationship.
