Quick recap of Gimbap and Onigiri Episode 4

In Gimbap and Onigiri Episode 4, Taiga visits his hometown to attend his father's fourteenth anniversary, and while his mother is happy to see him, he gets questioned by his brother about his job. Taiga's brother thinks that working as a part-time cook won't get him anywhere and tries to push him to choose something that is more secure.

However, Rin doesn't agree with Taiga's brother and thinks that the owner of the restaurant has kept Taiga because he likes his work and not because he is unable to find a replacement.

Taiga even lets his brother know that he is enjoying his work and will do something in the same field. However, his brother tells Taiga that he hasn't changed at all.

Viewers also see Rin's mother pushing her to be with Jun-ho, her senior, after she meets him. According to Rin's mother, Jun-ho is well settled, and by marrying him, she will be able to live a stable life.

While talking to Taiga, Rin even adds that nobody should force others with their own opinions, indirectly talking about her mother and Taiga's brother.

Soon after, Taiga receives a call from the restaurant owner, who asks him whether he can handle the restaurant for a couple of days due to an emergency. Taiga accepts it and takes a bigger responsibility. While serving the customers, he meets a man named Sakumoto who works for a company taking care of athletes' nutrition and meal planning. He likes Taiga's food and even hands him his card.

What to expect from Gimbap and Onigiri Episode 5?

The sudden entry of Sakumoto might bring new opportunities for Taiga, who has also been an athlete in the past. In the trailer of Gimbap and Onigiri Episode 5, we might see distance impacting their relationship again, considering Taiga gets busy in the restaurant.

On the other hand, there's the entry of the new character, Miyauchi Masumi, played by Fukagawa Mai. Though details about her character haven't been revealed so far.

Viewers will also see Rin sharing her feelings with Jun-ho. From his previous talks, it doesn't feel like Jun-ho will take the opportunity to propose or confess his feelings to Rin, as he made it clear in the previous episode that stealing her would make him a bad person. It will be interesting to see how Taiga and Rin will solve their problems this time.
