Gimbap and Onigiri Episode 6 recap: Rin and Taiga face cultural differences

As promised by Taiga in the last episode, the two go on a trip to complete her wish from the bucket list. On the other side, Noa is confused about Akinori's whereabouts and goes to find him in the cafe, where she sees him with two boys. On asking, he tells her that they are his business partners.
Taiga takes Rin to a place to write their wishes. However, she sees a note where a person wished their ex to come back to them, and this reminds Rin of Masumi. Episode 5 also focused on many cultural differences between the two. In one scene, Rin is seen talking on a phone on a bus, with Taiga asking her to hang up the call, as it's considered impolite to talk on a moving bus in Japan.
In another scene, Rin gets the wrong order in the restaurant. When she is about to ask for the correct one, Taiga tells her to give it to him. He says that being a cook, he doesn't like it when customers make a big issue out of small mistakes. This leaves Rin upset, as Taiga was clearly not communicating enough, which made her feel like she was the bad one here.
When the couple goes to the art exhibition, Taiga asks Rin about her reason for being upset. Just then, he receives a message from his ex, which leaves Rin even more disappointed. Taiga, who didn't want to fight in public, asks her if they can go to a hotel and talk. Rin thinks that Taiga cares more about what other people think than what she thinks.
The Gimbap and Onigiri Episode 6 also revealed the reason behind Masumi and Taiga's breakup. Turns out, Masumi wanted him to be a little more focused and have a plan, but Taiga was lost due to his poor performance. In the present time, she admits that she does regret hurting Taiga.
Rin takes a big step in the relationship
At this point, Taiga thinks Rin doesn't trust him, while Rin thinks that he doesn't understand her enough. To add to it, even her application gets rejected. Rin finally opens up to Taiga about her feelings, adding that her mother wanted her to be an art instructor in Korea, and she just wanted to prove her. Taiga reminds Rin that proving to her mother shouldn't be her goal in life.
Rin adds that she doesn't want to leave Japan, but nothing is working out for her. At one point, she asks Taiga about the relationship. Taiga leaves it up to Rin to decide whether she wants to stay or go, respecting her decision. Rin gets mad after listening to him, as she thinks that he doesn't care about her and is okay to let her go, and she eventually breaks up.
Though he goes back to fix everything, Rin doesn't give him another chance and leaves the place. Episode 5 ended with a ramune kept next to the table, showing Taiga actually arranged it and wanted to complete her wish from the bucket list.
