Noah Wyle and George Clooney's playful moment at the Golden Globes 2026 is going viral. Wyle's show, The Pitt, won the award for Best Television Series.
Created by R. Scott Gemmill, the HBO Max series features Noah Wyle, Patrick Ball, and Katherine LaNasa in the main leads. The series' storyline revolves around a Pittsburgh hospital and the people who work there, showing how they handle difficult days at work and deal with their own life problems at the same time.
During the Golden Globes 2026, The Pitt was nominated for Best TV Series, with the other nominations being The Diplomat, Pluribus, Severance, Slow Horses, and The White Lotus. The Pitt ultimately won the award.
The main lead of the series, Noah Wyle, went on stage to receive the award with his other co-stars, during which he kissed George Clooney on the cheek, followed by a hug. The two actors have previously worked together on the TV series ER, where Noah appeared in the role of John Carter and Clooney appeared in the role of Dr. Doug Ross.
Noah Wyle wins an award in the Best Actor category at the Golden Globes 2026
While The Pitt had already won the award for the best TV series, the cheers kept coming after Noah Wyle won the best actor award for the TV series at the Golden Globes 2026.
Accepting the award, he said:
"I've been very blessed in my life. I was raised in a family that put a high priority on art ... and I've been supported by an incredible wife and three incredible children along the way"
The award was presented by George Clooney. Admiring Noah Wyle, he said:
"I would nominate Noah Wyle as the first guy. I met Noah in 1993. He hadn’t worked a lot yet, and we did this show called ER, and it was this crazy hit. At one time we had 40 million people watching, and I remember Noah going, ‘Is that good?’ I was like, ‘That's good; that'll never happen again."
He also said that Noah was very smart for his age and had been humble and down-to-earth from the very first time they met. Praising the way he raises his children, Clooney called him a great partner and a father, along with being a talented actor.
He added:
"He is just the most honorable, talented young man. I get to say [that] because I’m an old man and I cannot be happier for his success on the show. The show is just a beautiful show, and he does just a great job with it."
Wyle also didn't hold back in admiring George Clooney by adding in the Golden Globes 2026:
"I remember vividly, the first week of ER, he called the entire cast into his trailer and said, 'OK everybody, this is how it's going to be. We’re going to be nice to everyone. There’s not going to be any divisions between the cast and crew or foreground and background. We’re going to learn our lines, and we’re going to be on time."
They reportedly met after thirty years during the Golden Globes 2026.
Fans of Noah Wyle will also see him in the upcoming project A Dolphin in Our Lake. However, the release date of the project hasn't been confirmed as of now.
