All Creatures Great and Small Season 6 is gearing up for its Christmas Special episode this February on PBS Masterpiece. Episode 6, Our Hearts Are Full dropped on Sunday. It was an emotional rollercoaster ride as the season tied up its loose ends. Tristan finally faced his fears and opened up about his war trauma to Siegfried. Ever since he returned from Sicily, he seemed lost at times, especially when he was left alone. He did not seem to care much about his military cross either. He kept it hidden until Mrs. Hall found it in the drawers.In Episode 6, Tristan revealed what happened back in Italy. Callum Woodhouse brilliantly portrayed Tristan's bottled-up emotions and fears. Quite a lot of the time, he is able to just be in the moment — being in the [pub] with James or helping a farmer with his animal. Even though he found love in this season, something remained missing.In Episode 5, while treating Ainsley's parrot, George, he realized that George developed a psychological issue after being separated first from his flock and then from his owner. He revealed that during a landmine attack, he lost his buddy Billy. It was Billy who alerted Tristan. There was a landmine next to him. Billy saved Tristan's life, but he couldn't. The landmine attack killed several horses and men, and left many injured. As the only vet in the camp, Tristan was able to save a few lives. He was awarded a military cross for his medical service during the landmine attack in Sicily.Weissmuller's fear during his procedure froze him.
