This week is going to be important for Peter Safran and James Gunn's DCU, as we might get a major casting update in the next 24 hours. That's because DC animation will have a panel at the Annecy Festival this Thursday. One of the many animated DC projects mentioned on this list is Mister Miracle, the adult animated series, which will introduce the DC Universe version of Darkseid.The official site of Annecy Festival confirms the DC panel for Thursday afternoon. It should be noted that James Gunn already confirmed back in 2023 that the actors voicing characters in DCU animated projects will also play them in the same continuity's live-action/animated movies as well.Therefore, the actor who will voice the ruler of Apokolips in Mister Miracle will also play the iconic DC villain throughout the entire continuity created by Safran and Gunn. Darkseid will be a part of Mister Miracle because he is the titular hero's adopted father in the comics.Showrunner Tom King, who also wrote the acclaimed comic run the series adapts, confirmed back in January that casting was underway for all characters, including Darkseid. Now that six months have passed since confirmation, we may finally learn the actors who will join the DCU through Mister Miracle.
