Hank starts his dream job in King of the Hill Season 15 finale, setting up the next chapter

King of the Hill Season 15 finale premiered on July 20, bringing the latest season to an end. The season has a hopeful ending for Hank, who starts his dream job of owner and manager after working at Strickland Propane for years.

Hank decided to leave Buck's company after Buck offered his son the position of manager. However, due to Joe Jack, he goes to meet Buck once again, only to find that the company is going bankrupt. The King of the Hill episode also shows how Hank ended up having a job in Saudi Arabia, and Bobby discovered his passion.

King of the Hill Season 15 finale recap: What happened between Buck and Hank?

The King of the Hill season finale begins with Jeff, Bill, Hank, and Dale standing together when Hank receives a call from Joe Jack. As he goes to meet Joe Jack, who is sitting with two other people, Joe Jack tells him that he called him under false pretenses, adding that they are depressed by what's going on in Strickland Propane.

Hank learns that Strickland Propane is on the verge of closing and wonders how Buck could let this happen. Joe Jack also asks Hank to talk some sense into Buck, hoping he'll listen to him.

The King of the Hill finale episode also reveals what happened between Hank and Buck years earlier. Buck tells Hank that he'll be giving someone else the authority to run the business, adding that he will be making the announcement soon. This makes Hank believe Buck is about to name him the new manager since Buck says he wanted to let him know first about this new move.

However, instead of naming Hank, Buck appoints Ray Roy as the new manager. When Hank confronts him, Buck says Hank will be Ray Roy's second-in-command because he's a natural lieutenant. Buck explains that he made the decision because he wants Hank to help Ray Roy run the business.

In the end, Hank quits and leaves. After talking to Joe Jack, he meets Buck and learns about the company going bankrupt. While Buck asks Hank to come back and help him fix the business, Hank refuses to do so.

King of the Hill Season 15 finale recap: Hank searches for a new job

While Peggy asks Bobby to act surprised about the news of Hank being the new manager in the King of the Hill finale, Bobby starts congratulating his father after Hank says that he has left Strickland Propane. Hank expresses his feelings, saying he was maybe in denial because of how much he wanted that role.

Even so, Hank stays hopeful and starts looking for a new job, believing his experience in the propane business will help him. Dale gives Hank an opportunity to work as an assistant exterminator, which Hank politely rejects.

Meanwhile, Jeff suggests he use LinkedIn. In the end, Peggy helps Hank find a new job, while Bobby starts working as a grill cook at Whataburger, which he got after getting along with the manager, who was a BTS fan.

While searching for a job, Hank decides to meet Thatherton, who agrees to hire him on one condition: Hank must reveal how Strickland Propane ran its business and share its secrets. Although Hank refuses to share anything against Buck, Thatherton hires him anyway.

However, Hank soon decides not to take the job after realizing the same "number one, and number two" dynamic exists there as well.

King of the Hill Season 15 ending: Hank starts his dream job

In King of the Hill, Hank lands an interview for a propane job in Houston, but Peggy later admits that she made a few changes to his profile, including listing him as a manager instead of an assistant manager. All motivated, Hank decides to leave for Houston and gets a contract that includes retirement plans and a bonus as well.

However, it comes with a twist, as the job is not based in Houston but in Saudi Arabia. While Peggy and Hank decide to move to the Middle East for Hank's new job, Bobby isn't on board with the idea. Instead, he suggests that they leave him behind so he can work in his new job, and they go to Saudi Arabia for his job.

Coming back to the present, while going for the reservation Bobby booked for them, Hank comes across Strickland Propane, whose sign was spray-painted to read "Sickland Propane." He further sees an open storage unit and goes inside, only to find Ray Roy passed out.

So what happened next? Hank buys 51% of the company and becomes the manager and owner of Strickland Propane. The episode ends with Hank receiving a call from Bill, who is wondering how drunk Hank is.

King of the Hill Season 16 will focus on how Hank will take care of the business and what challenges he might face as the new owner.
