How House of the Dragon Season 3 Episode 6 leaves Corlys Velaryon's fate uncertain
Before the events of Episode 6 of House of the Dragon Season 3, Corlys Velaryon had been away from King's Landing. Instead, he was away leading military operations against the remaining Triarchy forces after the Battle of the Gullet.
He suffered heavy personal and military losses, but Corlys continued to fulfill his duties while preparing to support Rhaenyra's cause whenever needed. At the same time, his dynamics with Rhaenyra had become increasingly strained.
Corlys didn't like the way Rhaenyra refused his idea of naming Addam and Alyn as Velaryon heirs. She herself had accepted the complicated bonds within her family, but when it came to Addam and Alyn, she wasted no time in refusing the idea.
The latest episode also focuses on Corlys' growing bond with Alyn. During their conversation, Alyn questions both his father's past choices and the decision to keep him and Addam from receiving the Velaryon name.
