A significant amount of time in the opener is expected to be devoted to the Battle of the Gullet, one of the most important conflicts in the Dance of the Dragons storyline. The battle is expected to combine naval warfare with dragon combat.
While HBO hasn't officialy revealed how long will that war will continue, but fans can viewrs can expedt at least half an hour of the episode to be devoted to the battle in House of the Dragon Season 3. At the same time, the opener is very important for the story.

Tom Glynn-Carney as King Aegon II Targaryen: He's the usurper king who is recovering from injuries.
Ewan Mitchell as Prince Aemond Targaryen: The one-eyed warrior with Vhagar.
Phia Saban as Princess Helaena Targaryen: Aegon's sister-wife and also a dragon dreamer.
