House of Stassi changed the game on screen by openly exploring Beau and Stassi's marriage problems 

Hulu's latest reality show, House of Stassi, premiered on July 29, 2026, on Freeform. As the title suggests, the reality show follows the life of Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder, who steps back into the spotlight as she navigates the next chapter of her career. However, balancing professional and personal life turns out to be anything but easy. The reality series star gets overwhelmed managing both her career while raising two young children and navigating life with her stay-at-home husband, Beau Clark.

The show also features Vanderpump Rules alums Katie Maloney and Kristina Kelly, Georgi and Taylor Donohue, Georgia (Beau's half-sister), and Rob (Beau's friend). However, the trailer's biggest talking points are the changing dynamic between Stassi Schroeder and her husband Beau Clark. The couple opens up about their challenges in their marriage.

In an interview with Variety, when Schroeder was asked about Clark being a stay-at-home dad, she said,

"He is, and when I pitched the show that was a huge part of it. I would say to people, “I don’t see this dynamic presented anywhere on reality TV and I’m proud of our lives and what we’ve built.”

House of Stassi: Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clarke open up about their marriage issues

Schroeder got married to the commercial casting director Beau Clarke in September 2020 after dating for two years. The couple welcomed their daughter Hartford Charlie Rose Clark in January 2021. The couple wed for the second time in Rome on May 12, 2022. In September 2023, the couple welcomed their son, Messer. Speaking to Good Housekeeping, Clark opened up about his decision to become a stay-at-home father and noted how Stassi became his biggest source of encouragement.

"A few years ago, I stepped back from my career to be a stay-at-home dad. Stassi always backs me up with positivity. She always says, 'I couldn't do this without you, and you're such a great dad."

While Stassi added that being a stay-at-home dad should be normalised and it must be represented on shows.

The Vanderpump Rules couple wanted to be raw and honest about their feelings in the show. However, that came with certain drawbacks. When they finally started to open up about their feelings, there were differences in opinion and certain clashes. In House of Stassi, Clark was visibly upset about their dynamic and him being a stay-at-home dad; speaking about it, Schroeder told Variety,

"When you film a reality show, you are forced to think about your feelings, address everything you’re feeling and unpack everything."

Schroeder also addressed the way she treated Clark throughout the season. In a particular sequence, when Clark asks to return to work, Schroeder offers him money not to work. She revealed that it was 'awful' and that she was sorry for her behaviour. She told,

"I mean, we’re doing really well! He’s just a really wonderful person and everything he does is coming from a place of wanting to make the right decision and being morally sound."

Executive producers David Marker and Renata Lombardo were not surprised by the couple discussing their marriage issues, which often led to tense moments between them. Schroeder told the executive producers that she wanted to be raw and authentic for the show. In an interview with US Weekly, Lombardo praised her dedication while Marker added,

"Everything happened organically and in a real way, but it never got to a point where it felt like it went too far for anybody.”

House of Stassi is available to stream on Hulu.
