Whitney Leavitt left The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives in May, but she is now making her way back to Hulu with a show of her own. Speaking about her exit in an interview with People, Leavitt said that leaving the show was a big moment in her life, but she felt it was time to move on. She also admitted that she had some regrets but wouldn't change how things turned out.

Deadline reports that Hulu has ordered the new show, with Leavitt taking on both the lead role and producer duties. Jeff Jenkins Productions, which was also behind The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, will produce it along with 3BMG and Leavitt's own company. The series does not have an official title yet.

As reported by Deadline, the show will follow:

"Firebrand Whitney Leavitt and her family as they navigate her newfound fame and career ambitions while always putting family first."

The news was also shared by Leavitt on Instagram, where she uploaded a video showing her typing her name on Google, which led her to Leavitt's reality show as fans showed excitement online about the rumors at the time. The video also included voice clips of other people reacting happily to the news of her getting her own show. The video ends with the words 'coming soon.'

Leavitt also shared Deadline's headline on her Instagram Stories that confirmed that she is getting her own Hulu show. According to IMDb, the other executive producers of the upcoming show besides Leavitt include Brandon Beck, Russell Jay-Staglik, Jeff Jenkins, Conner Leavitt, Reinout Oerlemans, Amanda Weinstein, and Ross Weintraub.

Leavitt joined The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives when it first aired in 2024 and soon became a familiar face, with her Season 1 disagreements with other women also getting attention. While this is a big step for Whitney, it is also a new direction for Jenkins, who is now giving one of the MomTok stars a show of her own while the original series continues. In August 2026, Deadline reported that Hulu has ordered twenty additional episodes of the show, which will be split between Seasons 6 and 7.

In September 2026, Taylor Frankie Paul shared an Instagram post addressing her decision to step away from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. She thanked the networks that had supported her and allowed her to return but said she no longer wanted to continue under the circumstances. She also spoke about the backlash she had faced, claiming that many cast members had joined in against her despite knowing what she had been through over the past eight months.

Hulu also has another spin-off in the works, titled The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County, which will premiere on November 12, according to Deadline.

Whitney Leavitt has also appeared on Dancing with the Stars Season 34, where she finished the competition in sixth place. She is also set to appear in All for Love and will return to Broadway next month with Just in Time.
