Love Is Blind season 11 ended with just one couple getting married at the altar. But a recent report from TMZ revealed that John and Sarah filed for divorce a year after their marriage.
John and Sarah's relationship became a talking point among netizens for John's problematic comments about abortions, vaccines and how Sarah agreed to marry John despite all the concerns.
Moreover, other ladies on the show accepted and loved the men they were with despite the obvious red flags. That points to something more concerning about women's expectations from the relationship.

Love is Blind: Some ladies on the show wanted to get married more than meeting the right man

In the latest edition of Love Is Blind, women seemed more eager to get married than to find the right match. To achieve this, the ladies were ready to accept men who could give them even the slightest validation.
For example, Sarah could see red flags throughout her relationship with John. At one point, she even raised concern over John's reaction to stressful situations. But she kept defending him and, in the end, married him.
Erika also knew that her goals and expectations did not align with Blake, who loved being at sea and was not even sure about having kids. But still she kept working on the relationship.
The mindset of just finding a man before they hit a certain age seemed to be at the forefront for some of these ladies. This was apparent during one of Erika's conversations with Michaella after she ended her relationship with Rob. Erika raised concern about the break-up and stated:
"It makes me so sad because, like, we're in our mid-thirties and the thought... if I were in your shoes, to have to go and start over again is like crippling."
Aneha, too, admitted in a recent interview with Vulture that her goal in life was to get married before she hit 30.
She stated (via Vulture):
"My goal in my life has always been to try to get married before I was 30. Now I'm 28, approaching 29. The clock is ticking sadly."
This statement points to the toxic pattern in what women seek from their relationships on the show.
Some of the netizens have raised similar concerns on social media, where one X user stated:
Love is not blind but those ears are definitely deaf! Why are the women REFUSING to pay attention to these men's red flags?
Another X user talked about how the thinking comes from teaching women that their worth is assessed by whether they become wives and mothers.
The comment said:
"I really think it speaks to a larger cultural issue of teaching women and girls to base their worth and identity around what kind of wife/mother we'll be. It's so sad."
These things point out a problem: the women coming on the show are focused not on finding the right person but on getting to the altar.
