Here is the complete recap.

CIA Season 2 Episode 3 saw a national-security investigation

CIA Season 2 Episode 3 began with the death of an inventory supervisor at a chemical factory. However, the case took a turn when Bill and Colin discovered that the man was a Syrian bomb maker working under a false identity. Elsewhere, Nikki received intel about a planned attack on New York. The warning came from an officer named Annie, who only worked from home and was a master at monitoring and decoding coded messages. While Nikki dismissed Annie's initial warning, the Syrian bomb maker's death forced the team to look into the matter.

Bill and Colin arrived at Annie's house to meet her in CIA Season 2 Episode 3. It turns out that Annie had an extreme case of agoraphobia and her work was contained within the four walls of her apartment. Annie appeared to be their strongest lead but Bill and Colin struggled to get through to her. Gaining entry to her apartment proved difficult, as she was initially suspicious of the officers. Bill recognized that Annie's fears likely stemmed from her time in a dangerous service.

The attack was stopped in CIA Season 2 Episode 3

Once Bill and Colin got through, Annie revealed that the intel she passed on to Nikki came from an incomplete radio message connected to previous attacks. Since Annie could not decode the location of the next attack without the complete recording, the task fell to Gina and Nikki. The duo tracked down a hobbyist with the complete recording, which revealed details about a potential attack at a convention center hosting a private meeting concerning Syria.

CIA Season 2 Episode 3 took a turn when the hobbyist was found dead, which suggested the attackers were coming after people with access to the recording. Bill and Colin turned their attention to Annie, whose position was also threatened. While Annie did not want to leave her home, Bill and Colin had no choice but to move her to another secure location. This led Annie to reveal details about her phobia. Annie revealed that foreign assignments and constant flying on the job had taken a toll on her, making it increasingly difficult for her to leave her house.

Bill and Colin eventually identified the attackers before they attacked the convention center and Annie returned to the security of her house.

CIA Season 2 Episode 3: Toni's return

Another subplot in CIA Season 2 Episode 3 saw Toni's return to work. While Nikki allowed Toni's return to the field, she did not trust her enough and only gave her low-risk assignments. Elsewhere, Colin objected to Toni's return after she betrayed her country but Nikki wanted to give her another chance.

On the other hand, Toni was frustrated by Colin's behaviour and Nikki's distrust. While Toni wanted more responsibility, Nikki was clear that she had to prove herself again before gaining the trust of her colleagues. In the final moments of the episode, Toni met with Colin and confronted him about his behaviour. Colin was still cross at Toni, but he kissed her, making their relationship even more complicated.
