Tell Me Lies Season 3 finale is just a few hours away, and fans cannot believe they won't get a Season 4. This means that the acclaimed TV series is coming to an end with the upcoming episode on Hulu today.
This was first confirmed by the creator and showrunner, Meaghan Oppenheimer through Instagram as she explained that wrapping up the series with three seasons was always the plan. Oppenheimer and the writers already had a specific ending in their mind, and they're proud of how it turned out.
Following this latest update on Tell Me Lies, Grace Van Patten, who brought Lucy to life, also shared her thoughts on the show ending with Season 3. The actress said:
"It was bittersweet. I think it’s so beautiful and rare that we got to do this for three seasons."
She continued:
"We got really lucky that everybody loved the show and we were able to keep going, and it was so great. We were able to have a beginning, middle and end."
According to her, the ending was both sad and meaningful. Grace Van Patten also expressed gratitude that the series was able to run for three successful seasons on Hulu. And also mentioned how the audience contributed to making it a big hit by not just supporting, but also waiting for new chapters patiently.

Tell Me Lies creator reveals the series won't return for a Season 4
As explained earlier, there will be no Tell Me Lies Season 4 on Hulu. The series is officially ending today, which means fans shouldn't look forward to the return of Stephen and Lucy.
The upcoming episode will close the curtains of the show and while sharing this update with the public, the showrunner and creator said:
"After three amazing seasons of Tell Me Lies, tonight’s episode will be the series finale. This was always the ending my writing team and I had in mind, and we are insanely proud of it."
Oppenheimer continued:
"Your incredible response to this season inspired us to explore whether there was another organic way to continue the story, but ultimately we felt it had reached its natural conclusion."
The creators and writers are proud of the ending they have crafted. There was a point when viewers' strong reaction made them consider whether they should continue the story, but in the end, Season 3 was planned to be the final installment.
Oppenheimer also mentioned in an interview with Deadline that she enjoyed filming the series a lot and appreciates the support from fans. However, there are practical limits to the story, as Lucy is no longer in college, and many of the characters are approaching graduation.
They're all going in a different direction now (geographically, professionally, and socially). They are no longer closely connected in the same environment or field. Continuing the story would require major structural changes, essentially transforming it into something very different from what it originally was.
So, it was best to end Tell Me Lies with Season 3.
