It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 18 Episode 9, titled Frank's Team: A Dark Day for Baseball, is all about Frank buying a team, naming it Paddy's Pinstripes, and managing it after the bar gets poor reviews.

During the episode, as expected from Dee, I saw her showing her talent as a pitcher, which the group didn't see coming. However, towards the end of the episode, she cries for help after her arm sustains an injury.

The team, at a Little League baseball field, then replaced the injured child with an elderly man, believing he could become their new lucky charm. However, this ends up bringing ICE to the baseball field as the man tackles the agents.

Episode 9 starts with the team checking out the reviews they've received about the bar and even getting mad at it. As I watched the episode, I saw two children coming for a donation, and they talked about being sponsors for the team, and there, Frank sees an opportunity and decides to buy the whole team.

On one hand, they want good reviews, but after seeing the positive energy of the coach, as expected, the gang fires him and makes Charlie the new coach of the team. It's complete chaos, with Mac wanting discipline and Charlie talking about team spirit.

They even find a little kid and start calling him Lucky. On the other hand, as viewers watched the episode, they saw Frank asking Dennis for stats throughout the episode.

In Episode 9, Dee shows off her talent by throwing a tangerine at the team's new coach and earns a spot on Paddy's Pinstripes. The problem was that Dee was an adult, and the team consisted of boys under the age of twelve. But the gang had a solution for this problem as well.

When the other team calls them out during the Little League game for the same reason, Dennis tells them that the rule says that no boys over the age of twelve are allowed on the team, but Dee is not a boy. Frank even gets a group of lawyers in case they file a lawsuit. And the other team just lets it go, letting Dee be in the game.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 18 Episode 9 recap: Team's new lucky charm

In Episode 9, the team brings their lucky kid onto the field, and they end up winning after the ball hits him in a painful spot. Frank tells Mac and Charlie that they just got lucky, but that's the whole point of having the lucky kid in the first place. On the other hand, Charlie keeps chewing on the seed shells, making it harder to understand what he's saying.

Later, Frank fires Dennis, and he takes on a role as the commentator. In another match, Dee once again shows off her talent on the field by being a great pitcher, even with an injured arm. But during the last pitch, she just fell because her arm got worse, and she cried for help. But Frank, being Frank, doesn't care much.

Meanwhile, ICE arrived at the field, while the team's new lucky charm broke free from the ropes he was tied with and tackled the agents as the gang watched in horror.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 18 is streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.
