It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 18 Episode 4, titled A Virtual Insanity, brings back Cricket. The episode starts with the group going to a concert in an RV, but soon the gas runs out, and they get stuck in the homeless camp.

While Mac and Dee decide to go find gas and supplies, Charlie and Dennis leave the RV just to roam around. After finding their million-dollar idea, the two cross paths with Cricket and decide to get his CD player in exchange for tinfoil.

However, Cricket goes inside and locks it, leaving the whole group outside, including Frank. While they realize that this is what Jay Kay would have wanted, in the end they leave in the autopilot car to the concert.

The It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 18 Episode 4 begins with Dee, Dennis, Frank, Charlie, and Mac going to the Jamiroquai concert. Dennis explains that the band name is a combination of Jam and Iroquois. Since the group doesn't have a map, they take the wrong turn and end up in the homeless camp without any gas.

While they wait for some time, after having a conversation, Mac decides to get it, and Dee joins him in order to get the supplies. After leaving the RV, Mac asks a homeless person for directions to the gas station, and while he starts telling the location, it is just to distract him as he robs him and runs off.

The two finally find their way to the gas station and tell the billing person that they're not homeless, but he still doesn't open the door. When Dee takes a sip from her bottle, she also realizes that her bottle got exchanged with another bottle.

In It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's episode, Charlie and Dennis decide to step outside. After listening to music, they start following it and end up meeting Cricket. The two ask for his CD player, and while Cricket, at first, says that it's a prized possession, he agrees to give it later in exchange for tinfoil.

Charlie and Dennis decide to take him to their RV, and near the door, they ask him for his backstory. Cricket responds to them by saying that their backstory is them, as he's in this situation because of them. He later asks them if he can use their bathroom, but Charlie doesn't let him use it, which further leads to a small argument.

When they ask Frank to open the door, he starts shooting, and one of the bullets hits Cricket. Once Frank opens the door, Cricket sees the opportunity and runs inside, closing the door.

Towards the end of the episode, Charlie, Dennis, and Frank start roaming and find Mac and Dee. Throughout the episode, viewers see Charlie come up with a million-dollar idea where he uses a music stand to keep homeless people standing, and it eventually comes in handy for Dee as well.

In the end, Frank trades his teeth for a cell phone. Just then, Dennis tells him that this is what living a real life means, something Jay Kay would have wanted, instead of being distracted by technology. The episode ends with the group leaving for the concert in the autopilot car.
