Bloodhounds Season 2 followed the story of Woo-jin and Geon-woo fighting against Baek-jeong, who wanted the latter to participate in his illegal boxing league, IKFC, to earn more money through him. To force him to fight, he attempted to kidnap his mother, So-yeon, and also ordered to kill or injure several other people close to him.

While he managed to force Geon-woo to fight, his animosity with the latter also became the reason for his and his men's arrest. However, at the end of the Season 2 finale, it was shown that NIS agent Sin-hyung, played by Park Seo-joon, and his team had extracted Baek-jeong and sent a fake picture of him being dead to Min-beong.

The post-credit scene where Sin-hyung interrogates Baek-jeong about meth smuggling linked to an infamous criminal he was looking for, has fans of the series awaiting the announcement of Season 3 or a potential spin-off. In the My Drama List interview, Sang-yi also mentioned the post-credit scene and stated:

"A post-credits scene (seeming to tease Season 3) was shown, wasn't it? We didn't really know while filming, but we found out afterward, so I'm not sure about Season 3 either. Watching the post-credits, it definitely felt like it was made with a third season in mind. It was fun."

Furthermore, the 34-year-old actor also talked about building his physique, which he said wasn't difficult because of all the training he went through in Season 1. He further added:

"In terms of character-specific action, Woo Jin is left-handed, so rather than just learning boxing through action school choreography, I also trained a lot in real, practical boxing. Since his fighting skills aren't really [emphasized a lot], we decided to focus on landing a one knockout punch. Because Woo Jin is witty and playful, we worked on [the kind of] action that targets the opponent mentally, aiming for counterattacks that could throw them off."

While Season 3 of Bloodhounds is not confirmed, fans can still keep their hopes alive, as Sang-yi also shared that Season 2 came into existence "because so many Netflix viewers watched and supported it".
