The series was filmed in and around Dublin and County Wicklow before taking the story out of its familiar surroundings and heading for Paris in April.Tim Burton also returns to the world of Wednesday, as executive producer and directing parts of the new season. Those who are fans of the show’s strange mix of gothic visuals, dark humour and wonderfully uncomfortable moments will likely be happy to hear of his involvement.Still, cameras have now stopped rolling. According to What's on Netflix, the production has reportedly used the code name "Nightshade & Raven," which sounds suspiciously like something Wednesday would write in a diary before burying it in the garden.Netflix has not announced a release date yet. Season 3 is not expected to arrive in 2026 and is currently anticipated sometime in summer or fall 2027. His story as a Hyde remains unresolved after Wednesday chose to spare him, while his connection to Isadora Capri could lead the story toward another dangerous chapter.Back at Nevermore, Wednesday and her classmates are now seniors, facing a future beyond the academy while new students and teachers enter the picture. Joanna Lumley’s Grandmama Hester Frump has been promoted to a series regular, while Fred Armisen’s Uncle Fester is expected to have a bigger presence.The returning cast also includes Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Isaac Ordonez, Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones and others.
