Jimmy Kimmel reportedly compared Trump TV's collapsing viewership to DCU's latest flop movie Supergirl. Kimmel said,

"You know that TV channel he started to circumvent the fake news? This morning, only 91 people were watching Trump TV. To put that in box office terms, if Trump TV was a movie, it would be Supergirl."

In The Washington Post, the American journalist Monica Hesse described her first experience of watching Trump TV as slow and confusing. She explained that during the first 10 or 11 minutes, the channel only showed a blue screen with the statement "We will begin shortly."

As a result, she checked several times to see if her computer had frozen. She pointed out that viewers had no idea what was supposed to begin. According to Monica's research, only 1,300 people joined the channel launched by the White House on its first day.

The Daily Beast reported that the channel reached a peak of 8,500 viewers at first but later dropped to a record that was both unwanted and embarrassing. Currently, the broadcaster has fewer than 100 people watching, with the exact count standing at 91.

On the late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live, host Jimmy Kimmel said that Donald Trump launched his own TV channel to avoid what he called fake news, but this morning only 91 people watched Trump TV. He explained that if the president's channel were compared to a film at the box office, it would be the same as DCU's latest release, Supergirl.

According to Variety, Warner Bros. experienced a bigger financial loss because the film didn't reach $200 million. It marked Warner Bros.'s second major failure in 2026, after The Bride! earned only $23 million worldwide against its $90 million budget.

Ticket sales were weak on the premiere day because the movie didn't gain strong support from its dedicated DC fans. In addition, the heavy competition in the peak summer movie season might have limited the film's ability to hold its box office performance.

Kimmel used Supergirl as a comparison because the film was a box office disappointment. The TV host wanted to portray that Trump TV's weak audience numbers looked as embarrassing as DC's recent box office failures.

The White House channel is experiencing a dramatic collapse in viewership

Jimmy Kimmel told the truth because The Daily Beast also argued that the president's channel had less than 100 viewers, 91 to be exact. On YouTube, the channel was outperformed by pedicure livestreams and by channels that repeatedly play videos of a box fan whirring.

Sources revealed that the channel managed fewer than 400 viewers last week, while a continuous 24-hour broadcast of a box fan running at full speed attracted more than 1,500 viewers.
