Fans eagerly awaiting Rishi Ramdani’s (Sagar Radia) return in HBO’s financial thriller Industry were stunned by his unexpected fate in the latest Season 4 episode.The former Pierpoint associate and market maker on the CPS desk is most famously known for his colourful commentary. Rishi's return was unlike anything fans expected. Gone was the foul-mouthed brat who entertained fans across three seasons as Rishi was on a downward spiral in the latest episode. Still reeling from his wife's murder in the Season 3 finale, Rishi was presented with the responsibility of his infant son.Industry Season 4 Episode 4 saw him receive a phone call from his deceased wife's mother. The episode reveals that Rishi has no choice but to leave his infant son's custody with his late wife's parents, as he is highly incapable of providing for his son. While Rishi had always dodged responsibility, he hesitantly accepts his tragic fate in the latest episode and agrees to sign off his son's custody to his in-laws.Sagar Radia reflects this change in Rishi's character in Industry Season 4:''I think he’s trying to, dare I say, reinvent himself. He’s just trying to start again, and I think he doesn’t know what that looks like. That scene, especially with his mother-in-law, it’s just a moment where he has to just come to terms with the fact he’s not in a place to be a father. As if this moment couldn't have gotten any worse, the police show up at Rishi's house to investigate a noise complaint.However, the former Pierpoint head trader assumes the worst and, in a panic, jumps off his apartment's balcony to escape from the police. While Rishi lands on the ground alive, both of his ankles are fractured. He practically drags his bloodied body until the police eventually catch up to him and he is arrested.While Rishi faced a brutal fate in Industry Season 4 Episode 4, Radia feels it was important for him. Breaking down this pivotal scene, the actor said:''He gets to the end of that scene, and he’s pinned to the floor by the cops, and there’s just that small hint of a smile, which was like, “You know what, this is what was needed, this is where I feel that relief after everything that’s happened.”He added:''He’s looking for that relief. He’s going through all the self-destruction and at that point, he doesn’t know what he wants, he doesn’t know what he needs. He’s numbing himself. And it’s only when that moment comes and he’s arrested, there’s a sigh of relief there to be like, “Yeah, this is what was supposed to happen.”While this looked like the end for Rishi, Radia was tight-lipped about his character's fate in Industry.
