As John calls up Antaan and his group to inform them about the Manhunter's identity, Hal also figures out who the real Manhunter is.Therefore, the next episode will see Rushville suffer the tragic consequences in the aftermath of Hal meeting Antaan and his group at the cafe, as the mysterious alien character doesn't trust Hal or any of the Green Lantern Corps. Poorna Jagannathan's Zoe Macon is the Manhunter that Antaan is hunting. Zoe herself gives this away to John, as she reveals that she saved Will Macon's life after getting physically intimate. Early in this episode, Will Macon said that the Manhunter cured his cancer while referring to the android with male pronouns.Thus, the android could've shape-shifted to a female form and has been living as Zoe in Rushville since 1986 in the show's continuity. Some also believe that there might be more than one Manhunter in Rushville. Will Macon might also be a Manhunter, as the first act of the Lanterns episode also ends with a weird scene where the older Macon asks John to draw him naked.Thus, next week's episode could see Rushville being torn apart either by Antaan and his forces or the Macons tearing the town apart. Antaan could attack Rushville, as he does not trust Hal Jordan, and he may see Hal's presence as nothing but John setting him up. The meeting goes south, and Antaan orders his men to blow up the Nebraskan town, confirming that he is Atrocitus, and his group is the Red Lantern Corps.The other possibility is that the Macon family massacres the town. Since then, every episode has been set in 2016, with no flashforwards. But the preview of episode 5 hints at the attack that would destroy the Macon ranch, as seen in the 2026 portion of episode 1.Thus, Chris Mundy, Tom King, and Damon Lindelof may have included the 2026 portion of the first episode as a tantalizing tease for the second half of the series.
