Nerdist had also confirmed that apart from Doom Patrol, superheroes like Hawkman can be present in the show because Midway City is home to Hawkman, Doom Patrol, and Hawkgirl. Thus, viewers may witness Hawkgirl along with Doom Patrol and Hawkman.

The new episode didn't physically introduce the three DC heroes, Doom Patrol, Hawkgirl, and Hawkman, but gave a subtle Easter egg reference by relocating John Stewart's storyline to Midway City. According to DC Comics, Midway City is the headquarters of the Doom Patrol and the primary home for Hawkman and Hawkgirl.
A YouTube channel named Boba Talks mentioned that in episode 6, John presented an architectural proposal to the Midway City Council and its city officials about developing massive underground emergency shelters. According to John, the shelter should be built to protect the local population from disasters caused by the fights between superheroes. John clearly explained that Midway City doesn't have Superman, who would fly and save them.
Therefore, episode 6 clearly depicts that Doom Patrol, Hawkgirl, and Hawkman may be introduced in the series since their home is in Midway City. Besides that, John's statement means that Lanterns will have no Superman.
