Who is Tyler Duncan in Law & Order Season 26 Episode 5?

Meanwhile, Calvino and Walker identify a man named Tyler Duncan, an online influencer whose alter ego, Stone Freedom, is built on racial discrimination, harassment, and more. Duncan's character is apparently inspired by a growing class of influencers who thrive on controversy for clicks. Duncan uses his racist ideologies for his content.

Walker finds out that young athletes are being exploited as they are caught in a system of prediction market platforms. The team finds out about We Wager, a prediction market platform that allows users to bet on athletes and sporting events, creating pressure on young athletes. Walker explains how these prediction markets can affect the mental health of young competitors.

Elsewhere, Calvino investigates the backpack as described by the witness. The case against Duncan solidifies as the team brings other evidence that connects him to Booker's death.

At the court, ADA Nolan Price wants jurors to see Duncan's online activity as evidence of motive, including his racial livestreams. Duncan's defense argues that his alter ego is merely a character. The judge sides with Duncan's attorney, saying his alter ego videos are prejudicial in nature.

The defense also puts forward that Duncan is married to a woman from Booker's community and that she has her own online persona. ADA Samantha Maroun says that nothing online is true; it is more of an act. Later, Price approaches Baxter to discuss the possibility of a plea deal, and Maroun comes in with new evidence. The investigators found a recording involving Duncan and Tom Phillips. The video was apparently recorded weeks before Booker's death. In the video, Duncan discusses the prospect of killing someone. His remarks are quite chilling as he discusses how to make a murder profitable. The recording destroys the defense's arguments and narratives.

The jury concludes. Tyler Duncan is found guilty of murder and a racial hate crime.
