Line of Fire cast: Meet Peter Krause, Hope Davis and the stars of NBC’s political thriller

NBC's political thriller, Line of Fire, starring Peter Krause and Hope Davis, will premiere on September 21, 2026, at 10 PM ET. The episode will be available to stream on Peacock the next day. The series is partly inspired by Jenna Bush Hager's experiences growing up with Secret Service protection. The series highlights the sacrifices the agents often make to balance their highly demanding profession and family lives.

The series follows a family of law enforcement agents who find themselves entangled in a thrilling conspiracy. The political drama follows the Hollingsworths, who find themselves amid a dangerous case. While Jane Hollingsworth is a US Marshal, her husband Mike and son Micah work as Secret Service Agents. Their daughter Clare is in the FBI, and their other son Russ works at the Department of Justice.

However, a murder case that initially seemed like an open-and-shut case entangles the Hollingsworths in a complex conspiracy. Can the Hollingsworths work together and use their skills to solve the case?

Peter Krause, known for playing Captain Bobby Nash in 9-1-1 and Nate Fisher in Six Feet Under, will play Mike Hollingsworth in Line of Fire. This two-time Screen Actors Guild Award winner began his career with NBC's sketch show, Carol and Company.

In Line of Fire, Mike Hollingsworth is the head of the family and works as a Secret Service Agent.

Hope Davis as Jane Hollingsworth

Hope Davis is set to play Jane Hollingsworth in Line of Fire. Jane Hollingsworth is a US Marshal and the family matriarch. Her relationship with Mike will also be explored in the political family thriller. At the NBCUniversal Backlot Pass event, Davis teased that Jane and Mike keep secrets and have disagreements, but their relationship remains strong (via NBC).

Davis is known for her roles in About Schmidt, Captain America: Civil War, American Splendor, Wayward Pines, and Perry Mason, to name a few.

Taylor Bloom as Russ Hollingsworth

Taylor Bloom (American Horror Story, All's Well and Zero One) will play Russ Hollingsworth in Line of Fire. He works at the Department of Justice as an analyst.

Kat Cunning as Clare Hollingsworth

Kat Cunning plays Clare Hollingsworth, the only daughter of Mike and Jane. Clare is an ambitious FBI agent.

Cunning is a powerhouse of talent. She is a successful musician, actor, model, and dancer. Some of her notable works include Trinkets, The Deuce, and Star People.

Tommy O'Brien as Micah Hollingsworth

Tommy O'Brien plays Micah 'Mike' Hollingsworth Jr. He is the middle son of the family and is a Secret Service Agent just like his father. O'Brien is known for his roles in Grey's Anatomy, where he played Young Alex Karev, and in Watson as Zach. Some of his notable works include Stumptown, Shameless, and Unbelievable.
